No, I am a Spurs fan and will look to support our players where I feel it is due. Your criticism of Harry is ridiculous.

If all our fans were like you, there is no doubt he would be off to Real Madrid soon and I wouldn’t blame him.

You sum up perfectly what is wrong with modern day football fans. I am just gutted we now have this type amongst our fan base.

It’s what made me so pleased to be Spurs rather than a Gooner.

Can’t you go and support then? You’d fit in a lot better over there.
I don't know when you started supporting Spurs. Me in '94, so spare me. I will remind you of your words should you criticise Sissoko or any other Spurs player. It's called hypocrisy.

Has taken me till now to get onto here. Just felt like a slug to the guts.

It was there for the taking and I always felt uncomfortable after we had missed a number of chances in the first half. Getting through was what mattered. We needed to play clever football. Juventus had to win and they were there for the taking.

This reminded me a lot of the first match at Wembley when we lost to Chelsea having dominated most of the game. At 0-0 the game was ours and once we had capitalised and taken the lead, we should have closed ranks and played keep ball.

The second goal was an error on our defence's part but make no mistake, the warnings were there - they should have had a penalty early on and always looked a threat on the break.

We have improved from last term and must look to use this to improve. We had a great chance to make the QFs but sadly despite our prodigiously talented squad, I think there are clear weak links we can look to improve on.

I thought Dier made some excellent tackles but was on the whole poor and given he forms much of the midfield play, he is too slow to pass and see options. Someone with better passing would be ideal - Wanyama can do it potentially.

Tripier is great going forwards and puts in quality balls but is just suspect sometimes in big games when under pressure.
Sanchez is young and will improve - no concerns
Davies is quality but I do think we lose something in the attacking role when he plays (but gain defensively at the same time)

Things didn't go our way and with some luck we could have gone through - what we need is to be able to take luck out of the equation.

And I love him to bits But that doesn't make him immune from criticism.
Save your criticism for somebody else. Nobody is perfect. Modric and Bale played when we lost to Real Madrid in the quarter finals and didn’t save the day. They haven’t done too badly since in the Champions League. We are very fortunate to have Harry.

After watching the Pochettino presser after the match I can only agree with his assessment. We've dominated both matches vs the CL finalists twice in the last 3 years. We weren't clinical enough and played very well, sadly in the chances they've had (which were very few) they've taken them. We should be very proud of how our players have played and have now matched both RM and Juve over 4 games which can only be seen as a positive.

It's still only Poch's 2nd season in the CL and sadly he was a bit too slow to react the Allegri's change of players and system. It's a learning experience for our manager and players and if we improve next year, half as much as we've improved this year then the future's bright

Well i think i should add my comments on here

Firstly and obviously gutted. Fancied us to go through but knew it was not as straight forward as some seem to think.

But we went toe to toe with a top European side and also dealt with a tough group easily. I think some critics need to be a bit more realistic. Our club has been going in the right direction for the last few years. We made a massive step forward compared to our CL performance last year. We are battling clubs both home and abroad who blow us out of the water financially and that can't be ignored........yet we still head in the right direction.

We did not get knocked out by a European minnow last night. It was Juve.......a top team full of experience. We switched off for 5 mins and it costs us..........but we can only learn from it

Man City have pumped millions into trying to win the CL.They have not done it yet. Its not easy to get into the CL quarters.......ask Arsenal.

Last night i sat in my regular seat and quickly noted there was a lot of fans there that were not normally in our section. Mainly they were aged between 25 and 30 i would guess. Bow maybe these guys go week in week and sit in another part of the ground. I hope not for the sake of others that might sit near them. The constant slagging off players when they did not doing something entirely perfect.......and they gave off the vibe of feeling some kind of sense of entitlement to win the match. You lose matches in football. Even the best teams. And we win a lot more than we lose these days. Perhaps this develops spoilt fans..........they need to go and watch some season highlights videos from 10 or 20 years ago.

People can criticise Poch for subs or tactics etc but when you hear idiots calling for him to be sacked i begin to wonder if its time to give up on the human race!!!

i am proud of our club........proud of the football we play..............proud of how we are run..........proud of the progression we are making and look forward to continuing the journey. There will be highs and lows but always TTID

Worked a long day, but end of it, still felt so so sad.. Especially seeing the club social media posts came up of Son scoring instead of the loss..

Juventus had us sussed out, they knew we would give them a chance or 2, being a top team they will take those chances. I think we need to be more savvy in defense and convert more of our chances. We should have won last night, we just lack that bit of nous.

20 "fouls" committed by Spurs last night. Only 12 by Juve but our players had to be treated by physio 5 times. Juve physio didn't even have to get up off the bench. They're absolutely filthy and they do it in a way that it's off the ball and the referee isn't looking. If that prick had his eyes open Barzagli would have been off for that disgusting stamp on Son. Don't tell me it wasn't intentional. Son was giving him a new arsehole and he knew it.

We should have been playing against 10 for 45 minutes. Felt like 12 for a lot of the game.
This.

Loser's mentality maybe. But even if we got through, I will still bring this point, or agree to whoever pointed it out.

I'm not ashame of Dele's diving, just felt unnecessary. But at least he does no harm to any players. But the way Juve players played, not only were they a hazard, they did so with intentions. I don't know how their fans can be so proud of such behaviour.

Soft players we are, and I sometimes fucking hate it for not standing up more often than not, for some of those players supposedly captain material. But when I see players like Son who did not throw up a tantrum for the fucking stamp on him, and almost cried at the end of the game, at least our club bears some humanity and integrity from the players I can be proud of.

Barzagli, chiellini etc, I'm glad you guys are not wearing the Spurs Jersey. You can fuck off.

I've seen so much praise of Allegri among forums and pundits this morning and I don't really buy it. Every analysis done with the benefit of hindsight of course and with little or no regard to how complex these tactical decisions are in real time.

Our game plan was working perfectly until their first goal and the second goal came just minutes after. So you're proposing that Pochettino should have subbed on Wanyama or gone three at the back as soon as Asamoha and Lichetensteiner came on? Higuan scored in the 64th minute, that's 4 minutes after Lichtenstein came on (...which was the sub that really changed the tide of the match imo). I'd understand the criticism if we would have seen tendencies of Juventus actually creating chances before the first goal but there wasn't in my opinion. That goal came from nowhere and completely changed the match.

A more cynical coach might have changed things directly after their first goal. I can understand that viewpoint and it would probably have been the right call but you can't blame Pochettino for not being tactically aware for the first goal. Unless you're proposing that we should have parked the bus directly in the second half but that could have been equally devastating as it might have left oceans of time for Juventus to just go at us.

If Allegri is such a mastermind we wouldn't have outplayed them for 60 minutes. We football fans put far too much emphasize on tactics sometimes. You could as easily just point out that one of Dier / Sanchez / Vertonghen should have had his eyes pinned at Higuain for their first goal - just as Chiellini had his on Kane. For their second goal our press play didn't work and Higuain was allowed put a dangerous through ball down our back four and furthermore Trippier stopped tracking Dybala because he deemed it an offside. Individual errors? Tactical nuance? It's probably a combination of both but the latter usually gets far too much attention.

What ultimately let us down was inexperience. Even though Juventus were pressed back they kept they calm and took their chances when they occurred and then closed the match. All in all we have to consider how far we've come as a club, we've had a tremendous CL run considering the opponents we drew. I'm certain we'll learn from this and I can guarantee you that no team will cheer if they draw us next year in the CL.

Might not be popular, but, Chiellini is an epic defender.

He's is right as well, that we concede numerous chances per game.

He is utilising 'the secret' and it's something which does give you that little extra.
He is a filthy bastard, IMHO. His cynicism sickens me.

After they made the tactical change even before the first goal, their next attack overwhelmed us in numbers and we were lucky not to concede. We should have learned from that and I think a more astute manager would have made instant changes. A tactical change for us as others have suggested to try to take the steam out of them. In the next attack they equalised. I still didnt recognise any changes. Then they went ahead and changed to make themselves more secure and shut off the spaces which killed us of ideas for a while.

Thanks for offering an answer mate. I get what you’re saying but the chance just before the goal, I assume you mean the volley which was lashed wide, was always likely to come at some point and I’m not sure necessarily meant Poch should have immediately reacted. with hindsight of course maybe Dier should have dropped in and Sanchez certainly should have lumped the ball further upfield for the second goal, but that’s all fine, with hindsight.

Still gutted.

Is it just me, or if in any other game, and the roles were switched, and it had been one of our players stamping, shirt pulling, niggling, etc. and that "penalty" on Costa we'd be getting slated for diving, and cheating, yet with Juve it's a stonewall pen, and cleaver play. Hate those double standards.
I really have no idea why we are soooo hated.. Fans from other clubs even bothered coming into our social media posts and slag us.. Like seriously?

But I still like them jealoused.. I am starting to think we are the best-run club at the moment..

Because we're good and we're a threat, there won't be many occasions where people can have a pop at us and they know that, just got to take the medicine.

I'd rather it be like this then not be talked about, means we're doing something right.

Discounting the fact we controlled the majority of the 2 games, (imo) don't think there is any disputing Juve had clear chances in both games (inc the blatant pen last night that wasn't given) to score 7 or 8. Reckon (in terms of clear chances) we might reasonably have expected to score 5 or 6 (over the 2 games). At best. We are like a Lyon or Monaco at present. Teams that had a similar profile (young, powerful, attacking) that had formerly done well in CL until they came up against genuine quality and know how. For me, that last 30 mins from Juve was as impressive as anything I have seen. The changes, (ok, they don't always work, but the intent was obvious) the way they stretched the pitch, the construction of the goals, and then the management (Kane chance aside) to close it out. Having said all that, next year, they will be 12 months older, and we will be 12 months better. With a new stadium. It's good times still. Honestly.

Seriously Chiellini is overrated isn't he? The praise for him is way too over-the-top. That was like saying Huth and Morgan were the best defenders when Leicester won the league. Every 1out of 2 fouls Chiellini committed could well be bookable in the PL.

Chelsea, West Ham and Arsenal fans hate us for obvious reasons. Liverpool fans hate us for having the temerity to upset the natural order and finishing above them for so many seasons. I don't think that United fans generally dislike us. There is a bit of a history with City fans although not quite sure why and Leicester fans hate us for not understanding that it was 'their special season' and not sitting back and letting them take all the plaudits. Apart from that, I'm not sure that anyone else has a particular dislike for us.
