Our inexperience in the latter stages of the CL and against a very strong and experienced side and manager, showed. It was plain to see that we were allowing them to get back into the game, then they equalized and it went from there.

Sanchez is great but he is a kid. Its in games like these that we do need a Toby along side Jan in addition to the others.

We only have ourselves to blame, we let them back in and they showed us their gratitude.

Still mad about the result yesterday, we did not take control of the game in the second half like the first leg and I think are subs were made to late when Llronte came on he was causing alot of trouble and freed up Kane, But we are still in the Fa Cup and have a chance a silverware this season. after a night of reflection at the end of the day you have to conclude we’re just not there yet, how clinical were the Italians when they had their chances? last few weeks we have been very wasteful in front of goal making poor decisions playing the wrong ball, need to stay calm and get that sorted to move to next level.

On a side note woke up this morning and got DNA results, turns out I have Italian blood never knew I had...

Speaking of Chiellini, he bottled two CL finals (ok he was not available in 2015 final) and one euro cup final. All he won were domestic trophies, and there was no italian teams was as good as Juve for a few years. Oh, and he was not included in the 2006 world cup squad. So, he is really an expert in bottle and failure.

Thought Kane had him in his pocket 1st half, unfortunately they swapped roles 2nd half

Just watching the first half and I think Kane could have done better after rounding Buffon. I was at the other end of the stadium so couldn't see the angle and it was tight but it was one hell of a chance.

Yes, its the sort of chance he normally scores

Always like listening to Bellamy regarding us to be honest, he definitely shares the same feelings as me, even if I am now itching for us to win something but you have to remember how far we've come as a club and the level we've managed to achieve.

i was also in 533 and thought it was a cert. Verts reaction suggested he did too. What amuses me is the complete lack of interest by the ' bloke with the stick' who could hardly have had a better view. Still this was just one of many decisions which affected the ' fine margins' equation over the 2 legs. Their defender should certainly have seen red for the deliberate trample(plural) on Sonny. If VAR had been in force, we would have been looking up the train times.

...Poch needed to manage the 2nd half better - should've had subs ready and immediately put in Wanyama for Dier and Sissoko for Alli when they got their 1st...they kicked us ragged, we got tired, and they pounced...

Just watched the game to make myself sad again ! Its funny how the pundits' narrative chages based on hindsight. Chiellini was' vunerable, slow and a liability' in the first half but ended up the greatest defender known to man. I thought Steve Geerrard was very good and he made it clear that we totally dominated the majority of both games and were pretty unlucky. Driving home last night, I had to put up with Jason (' fun boy) Cundy basically blaming the whole thing on Poch being ' schooled' by Allegri - ridiculous, the game should probably have been out of reach before he made his 'genius' tactical moves. I dread to think what the prize pratt , Adrian Durham, wll come up with later. The media now seems to be shifting its narrative a bit from ' Spurs must win silverware or they will self combust' to ' the reason Spurs aren't winning silverware is down to Poch and what if they had a Mourninho, Conte or Allegri'. This was the Champions Leage not the Carabou Cup. It's tough and we would have been one of the outsiders in the last 8. There are only so many trophies to go round and just to be competing at the sharp end of them ( including the top 4 race) is an achievement in itself.

We played better than them over the two legs but some naive defending in both games plus not putting chancs away did for us, last nigh at 1-0 We should have had our foot on their throat and banged a second in had we done that then this thread would be a lot different today.
Overall I'm pleased that we didn't get embarrassed or trashed but we do need to be better with in game substitutions and tactics plus be more ruthless and stubborn at the back because for those two minutes of switching off cost us the game.

It's easy to be wise after the event. We were massively on top and had we started to defend deeper and allow them to come on, and they scored twice then Poch would have been crucified for not pushing on.

Despite their goal, I would have thought Poch would believe the team would react better than to allow a second 2 mins later.

Once that had gone in, he had no choice but to roll the dice slightly. They did what they had to and fair fucks to them. Learn from it, especially the Chiellini quotes and make sure we have something 'arrive at the end'

Juve had no such trouble defending a lead... we should have dropped off and played on the break - brought Wanyama on and switched to a back 3 after an hour.

After watching the two legs if I was Liverpool or City id be very confident if they got Juve in next round. We made them look old and they couldn't cope with our pace and intensity. Liverpool and City have even more pace and will rip them to pieces over two legs. They stole that tie from us as that's what successful sides do but along with Madrid and Barca they're a shadow of what they used to be. English team has a massive chance of winning the CL, really hope it's not Liverpool or Utd.

Missing Toby was a huge handicap for us. He marshalls the back line and organizes. If he was fit I think we'd have gone with a back 3.
