I agree its the managers job to get the most of his players, but I also think they sometimes just stink it up in spite of his best efforts.
I always thought it was Sissokos fault tbh ... Just shows you how wrong you can be reading things on the internet! ;)

To think we were interested in Wijnaldum, many on here he thought was slow and crap and not good enough for us, probably the same one's saying there was absolutely no-one we could bring in during the summer that would improve the first team. Apart from a fine set of teeth, perhaps klopp has insight that poch doesn't.
Nah he just got paid either more or more quickly to go there.

Just think if we had bought him instead of them he wouldn't have scored against us today.

Improve that midfield today?
Doucoure, Cook, Grealish, Shelvey...that’s the level I’m dropping to to improve that absolute shower of shit I watched today. JonJo Shelvey is a much better central midfielder than Eric Dier.

Dier is potentially a top centre half. He’s a decent holding midfielder. He’s a shit central midfielder.

Chuck in Dembele being finished and we have real issues.

 The desperation, the level you're dropping to would have set you back around £50m for Dacoure and Shelvey, Grealish we all know what happened with that and why Cook when we have Winks?

You could pick hundreds of midfielders who would have improved on today's performance, not really the point seeing as you don't normally buy players for one match in a season.

And it just so happens we have a better central midfielder on the bench just returning from injury.

Yes but those players would have 'freshened' things up, people would have felt 'lifted' by bring in Lewis Cook, just pay what ever it takes and we'd have had a quality signing in the team, but the cheque book wasn't open, was it?

No

Poch wanted him but he chose Liverpool as they were willing to pay him more.

Ahh, seeing as we're playing that game then I'm pretty sure the people clamoring for new signings right now would be moaning that if we didn't sign any names, just average players blah blah blah.

Yes, but we could have at least one, maybe two new signings to take into our new stadium, taking the edge off the money paid and the time delay we all face.

I don't know why we all worry so much, I mean it isn't our money as such, is it? Monopoly money, I certainly won't see it in my life time that's for sure.

The gist of it is that apparently there are no players out there to improve us, and when there is they can get trashed on here. Not all the time. However to say there is no player out there that could improve us is bullshit coming from the top which Poch has to repeat. Those words must stick in his throat. If the club carries on like this then he will be gone.

I think he has been bang average since the start of the season to be honest.

Considering some of the links in the press at the tail end of the TW I would have thought he would have been turning in some proper displays, instead he has for the most part disappeared and has been throughly shite.

100% Agree ?

I'm yet to hear a player who we could have purchased realistically this summer just gone not 2 years ago.

He turned down a move to Real Madrid this summer, signed a new contract and he was fully aware of what was happening at the club.
