I would feel hard done by if I had been told my season ticket was based on the new stadium . And then you realise it is at Wembley
But they've offered full refunds if I don't fancy Wembley....its out of their hands and the club have compensated us appropriately.
Its not an ideal scenario but not sure what else they could do, not sure I've spoken to anyone who feels 'hard done by'.

The facts are

Sold = £0
Bought = £0

My first hand knowledge is that in all the leagues around the world our Owner/Management team could not find and buy a single for the positions we need improved. Every other club managed it.

The facts are you are not involved in the transfer negotiations. Facts are we didn't get the targets POCH wanted. But we don't know who they were and we don't know if the club's were willing sellers. All we know is Levy didn't sign them.

The fact that I know is that Levy's hand was forced to rush the stadium last year due to unforeseen circumstances invoking Wembley ownership and Chelsea offering a lot of money to be tenants.

People saying Poch wasn't aware... If the supply chain to the stadium knew what was happening so did Poch.

The Liverpool loss is on Poch, nobody else. Stupid tactics that confused everyone. Stop blaming lack of transfer activity on that. Yes new players would make people stay on their toes but that doesn't stop Poch from having his Top4 opposition brain farts.

Fair enough.

If we wanted grealish then we should have done the deal earlier but instead chose to try and wait until deadline day to get him on the cheap the new owners coming in only served to show how incompetent we were, and as for zaha did Chelsea really want him Im sure if the money was offered he would be there now it was most likely agent talk again as i say to buy no-one was a terrible decision.

But at the same time we assume we were after Zaha just cos ITK said. In all honesty, if you were running Tottenham, would you want people leaking info about the players we want when you know there are bigger fish around us? ITK didn't see the stadium shit storm coming yet we had £150m to spend. Let's not pass judgement on a process we don't understand. The only thing we know about playing squad is what we saw

Mate I like you as a poster you are very good and although I do not know you personally I get the feeling that the team is not playing as well as it should be you don't like anyone offering any constructive criticism unless it meets yours.
I get that you don't mind losing as you seem relaxed with it but some of us hate it and find a flimsy Tottenham side difficult to handle.
Look I don't want to fall out with anyone but originally I was looking forward to this season and now can't wait for it to end.
We're not falling out fella, just don't see how painting the worst case scenario can be seen as constructive.

Not surprised by the result, but I saw the match a little differently. Yes, they had more shots on target, but many of their chances was due to us giving the ball away or our errors.
Their first goal, was a result of Toby and Eriksen losing possession and then Vorm flapping. For their 2nd goal, Vorm could've done better. We were so crap that we made them look good.
We also should've had a penalty and could've got away with a draw.

Tanguy NDombele or Yves Bissouma for our MF problem. Both were available for diff financial levels. While we are at Lyon we could have said feck it to the 35M for Ndombele and just picked up Papa Cheik Diop on the cheap who actually looks like a player in the making that we perhaps should have gotten for the song that Celta was offering 2 TWs ago. Fabian Ruiz a very promising MF from Betis but now at Napoli. Abdou Diallo, left footed CB that plays like Jan with significantly more athletic ability to aid our backline instead of this silliness searching for Deligt. Denis Zakaria, promising athletic and decent ballplaying DM from Borussia Monchengladbach. Ben Heinrichs that moved from Leverkusen to Monaco for 15M and can cover both WB positions. All went or would have gone this summer just gone for reasonable prices ie less than Sissoko, save Ndombele.

Is that good enough? And that's just DF and MF. I could go on for the attack but that is not where we are in dire need of help. And that's not even mentioning Doucoure who Poch was supposedly making eyes at. He's not my cup of tea but he is better than anything we have in MF right now as displayed by the monstering he gave us 2 weeks ago. But as BC once said 'that' player is on every team in Ligue 1. And there is some merit in that opinion. We are trying to blaze our own path with the slow coaches in MF plodding away while passing backwards, directly to the opponents, or brilliantly splitting our own CBs time after time with aimless backpasses.

ps- Don't forget Pau Lopez going on a free to Betis...Don't really know what happened there.

Fair names but I will say that these players you mentioned always tend to cost more when Prem teams buy them so I don't think those prices would have been the same for us, also I'm sure that we had homegrown issues where we had too many foreigners in the squad and couldn't shift them, might be why we were after Grealish. I'm a bit wary of picking up players from Ligue 1 to be honest, for every Kante and Mahrez there an Njie and Nkoudou - they're a bit of a gamble especially at those prices however I was a big fan of NDombele as I watched him quite closely last season and if there was ever a player from Ligue 1 who I think could work in our team it would be him but I read that Lyon wanted £53m which is crazy, 1 full top flight season and no international caps - totally overvalued.

Shady's a sound poster. I like his input and insights on the footballing front. This one was too funny though. Throwing shade at other posters for rightly claiming a penalty we should have had. I mean, at least take a moment to be sure.

Sorry boss won't do it again. :woot:

We lost to the far better side, who over the past three seasons have built a very good squad after losing their best player. They have progressed night and day over the team we put to the sword at Wembley last season.

You argue that Poch didn't get any of his transfer targets (not that anyone knows who they were, or how many) and then turn around and say that the loss was solely down to him and nobody else?

We beat Liverpool home and drew away last season, beat Chelsea away and Man United at home, yet you say that Poch has "top four brain farts".

When you actually analyze the stats for "top four teams" home and away results when they play each other our record is quite good everything considered, and has improved.

Rather than looking for excuses and generally having a dig at our most successful Manager in modern times, perhaps you should just hold you hands up and say that on Saturday the better side won?

There are some funny people in this thread.

Liverpool actually didn’t play that well apart from their pressing yesterday, which is a worry because they were miles ahead of us. Should have been 3/4-0 minimum.

That performance in a big game, on the back of a defeat... I’m pretty concerned to be honest

We’ve just lost our organisation and desire

And at the moment Harry is looking like the bumbling kid we didn’t think would ever make it.

Super average.

If we'd have cut out the unforced errors and brought Son and Lamela earlier we would have won that.

Correct

Watch this video and look at how many mistakes we make and Liverpool aren't even pressing that much, it's cringe worthy.

I know the vid is trying to make out like Liverpool rushed us but the truth is that we kept giving the ball away.

I don't disagree with your assessment that prices for players are over inflated but if in a market place where average Joe's like west ham and Everton, wolves or Fulham are now prepared to out spend us a team that has finished in the top three for the past couple of years, where does that leave us either we bite the bullet and pay to get the players the manager wants or we slide back to mediocrity again.
We can't have it on our terms anymore with all the TV money floating around in the game where we try to buy someone dirt cheap and pray that it work's out, the time's are changing and maybe this year the board will have to wake up to that.
