Really? What about Sterling’s missed sitters then? If you thought that game was in any way close you’re deluding yourself.
It finished 3-1 not alot else to it. Deluding myself? Nah they are champions elect, we had our own chances.

That's football.

Score flattery is just bollocks, that's all.

Pot kettle black that, and wrong. Wembley was silent, apart from the city fans. I shouldn't be able to hear the away fans that clearly from 100 yards away.

All fans sing when they're winning especially home fans. Although we were pretty good at 2-1 down.

You think our away support would be silent at 1-0 and 2-1?

Im glad we have 7 points on Chelsea.

As far as today, I think it shows we need a new CM this summer. Im not knocking who we have now, but Dier is too slow for some opponents, Dembele is getting older and can go missing and Wanyama just hasnt had enough games back from injury. Winks might made of difference but maybe not.

I agree - maybe left field but Delle really likes that role. He wants to be a Gerrard. Erikesen son and Moura behind Kane. With Bale joining us in the summer. That will be some team.

If we lost 6-1 we could have no complaints, hence the flattery. Still, let’s put this game to bed and get ourselves to an FA Cup final ?

I thought we were outclassed at the Ethiad but today we were just shit.
I don't know what game you were watching. We played well enough that Guardiola had to make defensive substitutions. They were very good for the first twenty minutes, but then we grew into the game pretty well.

City are just better than us. For they money they’ve spent they fucking well should be too.

I don’t see why people are complaining about leaving Toby out, it’s the right thing to do in the circumstances.

Agree. Its looking very likely that Toby will be plying his trade elsewhere come the summer. Poch's main concern is for the betterment of club and the players that want to stay and play for us now and the forthcoming seasons ahead. The result of this one single game would not have affected us in winning the title (we never were in it) or getting a CL spot for next season (as we are still in a comfortable spot in the table).

If Toby had played today, he would have likely taken Sanchez's spot. The young man didn't have the best of games today but it would have surely been a good and valuable lesson for him for the future. In any case, since his return from injury, Toby hasn't been pulling up any trees in his games for us or for Belgium.

The atmosphere was just so odd tonight, thought everyone would be more up for it given all the hours of drinking beforehand. The guy against to me never came back after half time.

Now a train ride and a replacement bus to get home.

not too bothered. they ran riot over for 30 minutes and were awarded an undeniably bogus pen. previous Spurs teams would have rolled over and lost 5-0. They're better than us and were motivated to stop a 3 game skid. I thought we fought back well.

I’ll be honest I expected absolutely nothing different.

Poch has specifically mentioned numerous times that we don’t adapt our game for individual opponents. We play our game and that’s it.

Against the best teams we have to accept that this won’t change. We’ll still beat the majority of our opponents but it’s a thing we need to expect/predict.

One of the reasons I’m very concerned about the semi-final.
To be honest mate city and Liverpool play the same way every time also but difference being is the sheer pace and speed of thought involved that makes them so exhilarating.
Having said that we haven't lost to Liverpool this season and yet Liverpool have destroyed city each time they have met football is a funny old game.

We really needed to score a second goal when we had the momentum. Unfortunately City got back in it and dominated us again, that third goal basically ended the game right there. You could see and feel that it was over.

I’m still a bit annoyed that more of our players didn’t show up and that Poch got the tactics wrong. That high backline fucked us over all game long. We lost to a better team, but it also wasn’t a game where we gave 100% both the players and Poch. I really had hoped we would play better and not give away easy goals.

Annoyed at a lot of the game tonight. Too pissed to be more specific. But you know what I mean. Old spurs showed up tonight. Meh! And refs were fucking diabolical.

Liverpool lost 5-0 at the Etihad in September.
