I would take shelvey. Every pass forward and quickly. Huge range of passing and can receive it under pressure. Not afraid of a tackle either. Best player on the pitch tonight.

He has a bad side to his game where he just gives up defensively.
Give him time and space though and he is an excellent passer of the ball.

If anyone is near Dennis wise right now please can you take a picture of his stupid face and post it on here so i can point and laugh at his misery. Thanks.

I would but you wouldn’t be able to see it because “he’s a very small man”

I cant celebrate that. It was a pathetic pathetic performance

At no point did the manager look to address the issues, he just lets a game play out.

Theres no enjoyment from tonight.

Sissoko is the worst player ever to play for us. Prove me wrong
Thats the first ever negative rating iv'e given on this site, but fuck me, if I could give you more I would.

Utter utter bullshit!!

Pointless at this point but...the decisions made by the referee today were incredibly suspect. The blatant shove on Jan in the first half was utterly disgraceful. Chelsea getting 6 minutes of injury time too despite no injuries...

Ah well, fuck 'em all. Were the best team in London.

I watched the Chelsea game and there was a head injury and Huddersfield were time wasting from the kick off. Six minutes was fair to be honest.

Well lads, we don't even have to wait until Saturday. Massive relief, and now I am looking forward to the world cup and hopefully for the icing on the cake we finish 3rd and Liverpool lose the final

Which makes it even more ridiculous than Moura didn't come on.
Dele had one of his slow, ponderous and irritating games which is becoming the norm lately.

Why our midfield wasn't harrassing Shelvey I do not know.
If you get a late chance to kill the game, who do you fancy Alli or Moura? I know who I'd prefer, also Alli was coming central on the defensive, we needed to stay compact. I don't think Moura would have offered that.

Not a great game to watch that, we definitely rode our luck at times, although we did become more fluid in the second half.

Have to say the atmosphere in the geound where i was sitting was pretty poisonous tonight. From about ten minutes in we had people shouting and groaning at the players. I know it wasn't a good performance but the players aren't going to be uplifted by 'support' like that. Sad to witness.

One thing i really couldn't understand was the lack of marking/pressure on shelvey. Pretty much every good newcastle attack started from a shelvey pass. We gave him so much space. Baffling to me.
