Let's look forward now, get some serious players to help us kick on. We simply can't stand still, we did this year and it nearly cost us.

The players were out on their arses at the end, you could see that they were really struggling, so too was our depth.

The players did well to dig in, even if we did get a bit lucky and bringing Toby on was the right call.

Phew!
Bold part is totally spot on. Now that we've confirmed our Top 4 place again, we really need to use the leverage to do some smart and very specific recruitment this summer. Anything less than at least 1 top-class central midfield signing in the summer and we'll be feeling the strain of it this time next year.

Well lads, we don't even have to wait until Saturday. Massive relief, and now I am looking forward to the world cup and hopefully for the icing on the cake we finish 3rd and Liverpool lose the final
Yeah, it's great. I went to the beach last weekend and could not relax knowing we were playing and what was at stake. I can actually go this weekend, relax up, have a few beers, fall asleep on a lilo and have to be rescued 5 miles out at sea.

So relieved we got that done!

How good was Shelvey btw? Made our midfield look amateurish.
Not as good as he looks, Hollywood passes don't make a good player. His positional play is still poor, his decision making has improved but is still not all that and he is just poor off the ball.

In team like Newcastle his risks are worth playing with, in larger team I'm not sure. You have to keep in mind, teams like us and generally the bigger teams play with a lot of space behind the defense, most of the teams we face play with very little space behind the defense. His skill set is no way near as useful in that environment.

Also he didn't make our midfield look amateurish, our midfield was amateurish, which what happens when you play your 3rd/4th choice CM with your literally last choice CM, neither of which are good passers of the ball. I hope we never have to play that pair together again.

Ugly win but to finish 3rd above the scousers would keep me happy this summer.....COYS

It's been the usual 'Spursey' nail biting journey, but the lads have justified our faith in them by giving us EC football next season. If we finish up above the Scousers having also got to the FA cup semi-final for the second season running, although a tad short of what I hoped for, on the whole I will feel happy. It encourages me to believe we can keep our best p players and also attract in a couple of class players. Onwards and upwards.

Huddersfield need a point to guarantee staying up. If they can repeat the weekend performance away to City, 3 points would give us 4th and ease the pressure this weekend.

#COYS and #COYH ! :)

You're welcome boys. You can thank me tomorrow after I have sobered up! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: breathe :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: scream like a lunatic ....... drink LARGE ones! :wacky::wacky::wacky::wacky::wacky::wacky:

Sarcasm about an inarguably good piece of play from one of our players is pretty harsh. We all know you wouldn’t be posting that about our other players.

It was decent play, would've been pretty disasterous if he'd fucked it up though, definatly not "class"

IMO Dele's pass to put him in that position was much more impressive but each to their own

Yay...champions,league again, great achievement with no home stadium

But bloody hell that was poor...

And bloody hell we allegedly have two wreckers in central midfield and still shelvey has total freedom to spray the ball around

Anyway...top team in London

In a way I’m a bit gutted.

At the 75th minute I got odds of 5741/1 on Huddersfield and Newcastle winning, and you know damn well I put £2 on that.

There’s 200 pence I’m not getting back. Thanks a lot Spurs.
Stuck £4 on Chelsea at 0.1 down. They scored soon as I did it. Worked though. Worth every penny :)

This last week has been horrible (tonight even worse) but we made it with a game to spare and third place is in our hands. It's been rough seeing our form slump since the semi-final but we earned this from December to March. And playing shit and under a ton of pressure we got the win when they pressure was on.

So brimmed up with that result and the outcome.

Gonna be slagging off a lot of so called media pundits in next few days.

Just imagine Liverpool missing out on champions league and Kane winning the golden boot from salah on the final day

That's better then a trophy imo

Actually it's not but it would make me feel better

If by "horrible" you mean "glorious" I agree.

later, when I look at the table, I don't think I am going to see style points. We played an entire season away from WHL - we qualified for CL for the 3rd consecutive year. Right now, I don't care that we struggled down the stretch - I care that we crossed the finish line.

I will wait at least 24 hours before I complain about the lack of signings...
I don't think most people aside from Spurs fans understand how huge playing 19 neutral venue games and finishing in the CL spots is. Nearly everyone was expecting us to drop out, especially after no wins in the first three Wembley games, but we held on.

Regardless of the dip in performance after the cup semi that is something well worth celebrating.
