Riyad Mahrez expects Leicester City to honour the agreement they struck last summer and allow him to leave at the end of this season, which will spark interest from Tottenham and Arsenal.

The question is, will Mahrez improve the squad and starting 11.

He will be good to bring into the squad, although he doesn't walk into the 1st team.

Our attack forwards currently are Kane, and sitting just behind him are Alli and Eriksen.

Any of those three are hard to drop on current form.

If we play a back 4 (rather than a back 5) and sacrifice let's say Dier, midway in a game we are chasing for a results, then he could come on from the bench.

Things will change around next season also i suppose, so its happy days

Don't see it in all honesty. Big fee, big wages and has been pretty poor this season. As usual, I think we're being used in the 'also interested' category to generate a few clicks.

I'm not so sure - technically brilliant - first touch, dribbling, off the ball movemement in attacking area, distribution. Physically proven in the premier league in spite of slight frame, great number of assists generated in the final third of the pitch (where we are very Ericksen dependent specially with Lamela's injury). He can create chances with very limited space which is critical to our playing style - if our guys, particularly Eriksen, are bogged down or are not up for it in a game we look slow and ponderous. Guys like Mahrez can provide a quick "unlock". Specially against the lower level teams who pack 10 men on the line.

With Lamela (who is 25),one sided, injured and his contract running out and Mahrez (26) - proven champion who can improve dramatically under Poch, I think is worth the investment if it is in the 20-25 million range. (30 plus - Dan Levy wouldn't permit it and rightly so.) Poch has improved so many seemingly average players, its unimaginable what he can do with the likes of Mahrez.

What I notice in the video is how the other players in Leicester just stop and wait for him to do something magical. And when they move even slightly, he almost always tends to find them with attacking intent. Brilliant awareness. With our top players moving all around him giving him outlets, his distribution will be really valuable.

Particularly next season when we will be at Wembley and will need wider distribution ability with guys like Mahrez and Eriksen, and space to exploit with running guys like Sissoko (a French international (don't write him off yet)), Sonny and George KD. Jansen looks to be maturing and with H, Delle and Eriksen - a decent attacking, creative mix in the final third.

The only other alternative to really challenge for the title is to get Gaz Bale back. Don't mind a Rooney type figure if we wants some game time - great mature influence but an expensive one.

Him of last season and since Ranieri left is a definite improvement to the squad, if not the team. Him of early this season is not, and might even be a concern. The way he and others downed tools is not something that will sit well with Pochettino and team.

Pace, trickery, goals and assists are all valuable, and if we're to suggest it's him or Zaha then I would be going for him. If it's a similar fee and wages, that is.

Would still be surprised if he becomes a Spurs player though. Suspect it's just media fodder - although fun to see a player being linked to Spurs for a change.

I agree - with Zaha he has clearly a lot of raw physical ability that would perhaps fit better in a Poch style team.

But with Mahrez we would have genuine creative ability and goal threat -for which I thought we really needed a few alternatives besides primarily Eriksen this season to convert a few of those draws into wins.

Mahrez for me.

In a heartbeat.

Wont happen though. He'll go for a club offering him higher wages.

A player I would like to pinch from the Leicester squad would be Okazaki, the guy has lightning pace, and an eye for goal.

Good player, better last season than this one and definitively better than Zaha. Yes he'd be a good addition but we must not go crazy on the price, some of the figures I've seen he can go to PSG for.

God no. Don't like his attitude, don't fancy the inconsistency, we can't be sure last season wasn't his high-water mark, very expensive.

Hard pass for me.

As tiger666 said, he's 31, so his pace won't last that long. As for his goalscoring record, he averages one every eight games or so for Leicester, which is nothing special.
