Tottenham make contact with Barcelona for Miralem Pjanic

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Barcelona midfielder Miralem Pjanic. The 31-year-old has struggled to establish himself as a key player since joining the Spanish club for a fee of around £52 million in 2020.

I don't see this one happening, not sure he's what we need or that we would pay what it would take to get him.

Would be expensive for a completely unneccesary signing with the players we already have. Limited budget should be 100% focussed on areas of need which everybody knows. Extremely doubtful he'd be the slightest bit interested in us anyway.

It's not the first time we've been mentioned with him which worry's me that it might happen. We don't need him, although what we have needs improving they are better than what he can offer. He's to old, too expensive and has high wages. No Thanks. I know we wont be able to offer CL which will limit the calibre of player we can attract but 31 year old's who have seen better days not for me.

Yeah, we aren't paying him that. Surely a big risk at that age too. Does he have the heart and legs for it now, would be my question.

He was a class player at Juve, not sure at 31 he should be classed as finished. I’d be happy with a seasons loan with Barca topping up his wages.
