No apology for his ridiculous sending off - is this guy on a wind up or is he totally unaware that his lack of responsibility played a part in the defeat being so heavy in the end.

Are players going to apologies every time they do something wrong in the game now?

Keeping 11 players on the pitch would go a long way towards that, but tbf to the guy he's experienced and won the Europa League as recently as last year so I'd hope he has a winning mentality and that it'll carry over to the rest of the team

Ridiculous? He's not the first to be made to look a mug by Aguero. Apologise? Get real mate.

Ok so I wasn't proposing that he calls a press conference flanked by his agent and family whilst turning on the waterworks in full remorse for his aberration. Just some recognition of the part he played in the result. We are constantly being fed the 'we need to do more/better crap' by our players after these heavy defeats in big games only to cop another hiding down the line.

I don't agree that Aguero made a mug of him. He did however make a mug out of Kaboul and Vertonghen by squaring them up and using his lightening feet in the other 2 goals which I can take. What I find difficult to accept is the type of situation Fazio got himself in by being the wrong side of Aguero and then making it worse by commiting a totally ridiculous foul in the box reducing us to 10 men and depriving us of his services for 3 games.

I am just fed up of the amount of players we have that consistently fail to do the basics like working hard, maintaining concentration, staying the right side of attackers etc...

No not every time, just when they're one of two players directly responsible for us losing 4-1. Next...

Well he wasn't directly responsible for us losing 4-1 was he? We didn't lose the match because of one or two players, it's a team effort.

I was more miffed by the scoreline than the actual result to be honest. Soldado's pen miss would have made it 2-2 and put us in a good position (better than losing 4-1 anyway). Also from what I saw, Fazio's stupid foul that led directly to their comprehensive third goal, also weakened us substantially enough for them to finish the rout. So in conclusion, yes they were directly responsible.

Better than last years result any way... give him time to adapt, Lamela gets a walk through despite his shit clearance at Arse contributing to their equaliser and his giving away the lampard pen with a stupid tackle...

Let it go, move on...

I'm not saying what he did was not a penalty because technically, holding or grabbing an opponent inside the PA is a penalty.

What I question is why all those holding are not penalised during corners and set pieces.

What seems to be more important is that Pochetto (apparently) hasn't realized he made a mistake with his line-up v's Man. City....where he probably shouldn't have started Fazio in the first place.
I'm in no way intending finger-pointing here, just an admission from Pochetto that he may have made an error would show that he is analysing the part he played as well.
