As many of you may know we once had a drum who helped orchestrate chants in the stadium but along with complaints from our own fans and suggestions the drummer wasn't a paying attendee, the drum was banned from the stadium.

However, good news. The drum shall be back this year on a trial basis for the Europa League and I would assume if that goes well it could come back as a constant fixture in the league.

Ok, maybe a weak topic to start a thread on... But this makes me a lot happier;

Drum is back for a trial. Starting with the Europa league games #COYS

Hopefully with a more exciting brand of football and these basic stadium improvements then we cam get a bit of atmosphere back at the Lane.

COYS.

This is good news, do we know whether the club help arrange for this to him to come back?

I sent a club an email a while back complaining about the atmosphere and how since the drummer stopped going it aided on it's demise. The response I got was that the drummer encouraged the chanting of the word 'Yids' and would not be allowed back. Hopefully with the cases a while back of fans chanting Yids was deemed not racist, maybe they've changed their minds.

It was largely that nonsense that killed our atmosphere (baddiel you bluescum, publicity-seeking xxxx) as our engine used to be the yiddo stuff we chanted.

If the drum is back I can't see what else he'd gonna bang out, really. That was his thing.

He's followed it up saying that this was the main issue and that it can't be incited by the drum It's frustrating given the recent goings on concerning 'YID', but I believe even if we adapt something else to the drum then this is an improvement.

Surely just 'Spurs' or something, or anything is better than the discontented silence or undertone of grumbling that the Lane has become recently-even if it won't be as good as the 'Yid' battle cry.

Dan the Drum?

A great man. Glad he's back.

The other Dan (Levy) paid for a new skin for the drum about ten years ago. Maybe the delay was in negotiating a replacement.

Let's face it, we've had the heart ripped out of our chants by David fucking Baddiel....a chelsea fan with a bogus agenda.

The ignominy.
