Tottenham pulled out of a deal for striker Joel Asoro because of his agent’s demands. Spurs had agreed a fee with Sunderland for the speedy Swede but the teenager’s wage expectations were too high.

A Sunderland site says the wage demands were 25k a week and there was also an agent fee of 4m, which is higher than the transfer fee.

Hope he changes agents and gets a move. Bloody greedy b*****ds. My players wants to move to your club, you want my player. Please sign here & hand me 4 million quid. If ever there was an example of capping or standardising agents fees ....

Changing agents will rarely get you the deal that was already agreed. The Agent probably has a finders fee so whoever approached him would be liable.
