Vlad Chiriches' future at Spurs seemed relatively safe this morning after Steve Bruce revealed Hull City were close to agreeing a deal for Michael Dawson. Apparently not.

I hope this is not true.Vlad seemed a very good calm ball playing defender. Hopefully the Seville guy will be a step up if true. And we need leaders in the team.

Not the move to Chelsea that Vlad would have hoped for. Maybe he just didn't settle in England. Can't say it bothers me too much if the guy coming in is good. His injury record in that one season was pretty poor to be honest.

Poch wants/wanted Musacchio but is willing to let Chiriches go? They are very similar players, so i don't see why he wouldn't give Chiriches a chance

If he is being replaced by the players suggested in the article then it will be a very good deal indeed.

Work ethic and temperament I guess. Everytime Chiriches played I couldn't help but feel a bit worried if I'm honest. He was a bit too risky for my taste always wanting to play the ball in dangerous places instead of clearing. It's difficult to play a high line when one of your CBs thinks he should be in midfield.

I like him, but Dier looks like he could be better. So am not to bothered. Seems a player we could get money from and reinvest. Also I wouldn't say a journalist working for 'calciomercato' is exactly the most reliable source. It is a site which needs to fill up pages of transfer stories so are prone to make things up or turn rumors into more concrete sounding claims.

The article expresses concern at Chiriches's possible departure because of Kaboul's 'shaky showing' against Wet Spam. I would go further. Kaboul, albeit recovering from injury, looked like a pub player last year. I can only hope that he recovers his previous form.

It's a shame if this article is true, as Chiriches showed in patches last year that he can be a classy ball-playing centre back.

Vlad worries me I don't think his physically ready for the prem, not strong enough and a bit short I want a 6ft 4 monster who wins everything.

Someone said to me about Jonny Evans "his two nice, my coach said to me, joe your to nice if you had to play against yourself would you be scared ? I would love to play against Evans, terry no way Adams no way"

I want a center half like (in there prime) yap stam, Campbell, vidic, a monster a one man defencively unit the kind of guy who will win everything and leave a trail of body's behind him, and when he comes down the tunnel all you can smell is shit as he shakes hands of opposing players, he proberly needs a scar down his face and a few mafia tattoos but they are less important.

Point is we need Kaboul type in his prime a destroyer we have great youth players Milo's, christian Maghoma, Ccv coming though who all look great prospects. We have fryers, Milo's, kaboul as back up to Verts we need a winner to partner Verts, someone who Milo's and fryers can partner without us worrying as he will be able to help carry them though and they can learn from him.

Decent defender, but injured a lot ....also made some silly errors. The best game he played was away to united,he was mint then......but he never played at that level all the time.
Could have done with keeping him but as pointed out we need to sell ....also If I recall someone posted your only allowed x amount of non English players and we already had the limit ...so to buy someone else in ....specially not English meant we had to sell a non English player aswell....how true that is ,not sure ......but was posted a few weeks back I think on here??

Anyway ....this player also talked about playing for Chelsea etc....and basically using us as a stepping stone to promote himself, well yes we know that happens but most don't say it out loud.
So I did think there may be a few reasons behind this move ....and keeping Roma happy might help if we're after one of their players .....I would gladly take a few off their books :)
