We need to act before the WC on this one. Get in a new manager, and sign Lukaku - unless this new manager has other ideas, but who would not want Lukaku?
My only worry is that Chelski will only do business with us if Paulinho is part of the deal, and I really don't think we should sell our top players to that lot. Futhermore, we are still to see the best of Paulo and the mere fact/rumour that they want him speaks volumes of his potenial. Hopefully Jose will bring in other strikers and not worry too much about selling Lukaku to us.

Personally if the rumours Ade is off to Monaco are true, then if it was the only way to do business, I'd sacrifice Paulinho for Lukaku. Much as I think Paulinho will kick on next year, and believe he should stay, he'd be an acceptable loss given that we are stacked in CM.

Good point, we really do need Lukaku, but although we do have an abundance of midfield players, Paulinho is the one with the best potential to develop into a perfect PL CM. I could see him scoring 15+ goals a season in a good team. He has a great engine and does good runs into the box.

Chelsea would be mad to sell us Lukaku for £15m. However, if they want to raise funds for a shiny new striker and they don't believe he is the solution, we have a great opportunity to buy.

This is only rubbish journalism. Any sane person will rate Lukaku at a minimum 25 million. I don't think even a tight arsed Levy will bid 15 million unless he has no intention of signing him and just wants to rile Chelscum.

Ready to open talks when we don't have the next coach in place. If true some people never learn. Installing the new coach is a priority, the coach should be the one to choose the players he wants, not Levy.

i doubt Chelsea would sell to us
We don't have a manager
we won't sell Paulinho to Chelsea
Paulinho will be a big star at the world cup - Levy may give him another year to add further value and sell him on for 60m

Does anyone get the feeling that we could bring any striker in the world to Spurs and they'd still flop?

Another thing: a 21 year old, bought for around 20 million, will be sold for 15 after two good seasons in the Premier League? Yeah, right.
