Do you think they'll sell Son so soon?

Surely they'll give him another year to prove himself?
The article says so. Surely it will happen? ;) The journalist seems to be aware of far too much there. I think he got greedy. Slip a whisper into the news you're good. Get inside the minds of Poch, Levy and the players without a quote and you're bullshitting.

I reckon there's some miles in this. Was Son a stop gap? If we can make a profit and replace with better and cheaper ??? It's DL's MO after all.

I can believe this. There's just not enough there for me. He's neither one thing nor the other. Plus his touch isn't great and he's duck footed. Maybe we can flog him to the Chinese for £40 mill.

I also agree with the consensus that there is some truth in this because he just hasn't looked anywhere near as good as we've been led to believe.

I was one of the advocates for signing him because whenever I did see him for Leverkusen he always looked fast & purposeful. For some reason, however he has brought little of that to the table this season. If we could use him in some sort of deal to bring in Schurrle, then I would be all for it.

I think he's fully deserving of a second season. The guy is obviously skilful, scored a few goals and frankly had a better first season than Lamela and Soldado who were given time.

I can see Mason leaving but not Son. I think that is just speculation. He is young and skilful and needs at least one more season without injury to prove himself.

Lamela was injured for almost all his first season with a back injury. I'm surprised by this article. I think there's a lot of hypothesis and very little in the way of fact.

Son missed a few games for Spurs too, disrupting any settling in period.

Sonny's first season might not have been all that was expected but he scored some very important goals while missing several weeks due to injury. IMHO he should be given a second season to see how he fares while the likes of Chadli, who have been around a lot longer, have not demonstrated the hunger needed in our players if we are to improve next season
