Ben Foster has been a free agent since he left Watford at the end of last season but could return to the Premier League amid Hugo Lloris' long-term injury. Spurs would, however, need special dispensation from the Premier League to add Foster to their 25-man squad.

I've never understood how clubs get "special dispensation" to sign an extra GK, due to only one or two injuries, when they have other fit & healthy GKs in their reserve squad.

Whiteman and Austin are both 24, so they're not too young. If neither is good enough, that's our fault for not signing a better 3rd choice GK during a transfer window.

How bad are Austin and Whiteman if we'd rather sign someone who is nearly 40 and hasn't played in 9 months than play them?!

Not even play them, it's just to sit on the bench. Never understand why clubs do this, the young keeper is 3rd choice but rarely is allowed to step up as a 2

Foster is a prique.

2009 League Cup Final and the Ipod before the PK's plus all that time wasting at Watford.

+ He's 40 in April.
