Tottenham Hotspur have ruled out selling Harry Kane to a Premier League rival at the end of the season. According to The Times, Tottenham are now unwilling to sell Kane to any other Premier League club, as they don’t want a rival to benefit from him.

The goal machine will enter the final year of his contract in the summer, so that could represent Spurs’ last chance to recoup a sizeable transfer fee for his services.

"Now" unwilling...obviously we were begging rivals to sign him until today.

Hugely dependent on whether he'll sign a new contract or not. If he won't, he'd go to the highest offer in a year or so anyway, in which case we'd be better to cash in earlier and at least have some money towards a replacement.

This is so important he is our living legend. You could see on Sunday the genuine pure emotion that he felt with the crowd staying behind after full time. One of the most important things to do this season alongside with winning the FA Cup and yes I said it CL!

It really fucks me off that we've been blessed with Kane and Levy - on the football side - has totally failed to capitalise on that good fortune. Any team with a striker this good should be winning things. Imagine how much we'd have spent on strikers without Kane.

Kane has played in 3 finals (two with Spurs) and lost them all. He’s had chances, may still have more.

And Kane has made it clear he's not playing abroad, so he either signs up for more of this misery or goes next year for free.

Makes total sense. He's not beating Shearer's record over in Deutschland.

I’d agree that Levy hasn’t invested enough in the squad over the last decade, but you can have a great player for a long time and not pick up a trophy. We have reached finals while he’s been playing.

Playing devil's advocate here, but aren't we lucky that we were in a strong enough position as a club to hold onto him as long as we did?

Everton were only mid-table and kept Rooney for what...1.5 seasons? Shearer was at Saints for 4 years? The timing and manner in which we negotiated Kane's contracts over the years was actually really smart and a big part of why we kept him.

Plus a club has to be doing pretty consistently well on the pitch to hold on to a generational star player like Kane for 10 years. Lest we not forget he's the only player in PL history to score 200 goals for a single club...

But yeah, annoying we didn't splash out more during the Poch years - there were trophies there for the taking then and we did fuck all in the market.

The more and more I think about it there are, sort of ,comparisons to Francesco Totti. I highly recommend the film ‘My Name is Francesco Totti’ (2020). The scenes when he retired were so emotional: I can picture this with Kane and our fans, we got a little glimpse of that on Sunday.

A fair and well argued response.
