Sadly though City or Utd would pay that.

So would half the clubs in Europe.

City and United could pay all our squad double the money, but Levy will not sell under contract players UNLESS Poch wants them out. Both have said as much during the season and after the season ended.

Whether Toby stays or decides not to renew his contract is up to him. If he decides not to and we sell him then we will replace him either with Dier, Wimmer or someone else.

Life moves on and night will follow day, i only want players at Spurs who want to play for the club and not just a pay cheque. We have seen them come and go and are all the better for getting rid.

The last two seasons have proved that this team is the sum of it's parts based on loyalty to the badge, and not money chasing mercenaries.

No offense taken. I just can't imagine Walker ever being worth that value. That is a buy-out clause that isn't realistic.

Yes, we could sit behind such a figure and tell someone to do one until they come back with the cash but IMO they just won't bother coming back. So then the questions becomes is the buy-out clause a starting position in negotiations or our final position

I agree with you. But aren´t most of the buy out clauses unrealistic? £71 mill for Saul is pretty horrendous. It´s not really what the realistic price is or should be, it´s securing the player doesn´t go away on a cheap. Furthermore: if the prizes develops like they have over the next few years, you won´t be able to get a decent bench warmer for less than £50 mill. :dead:

And, if it´s true that Sandro is going to Chelski for £61 mill, I´d say that Walker is worth at least that! Especialy considering selling to a rival club within the same league. Chitty needs at least one right side wing back; we don´t need sell as he is under contrct.
