Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly set to trigger their option to extend club captain Son Heung-Min’s contract as they look to avoid another Harry Kane-Esque transfer drama.
Although Son’s current contract has over 18 months left to run on it and will not expire until the summer of 2025, The Telegraph are reporting that Spurs have a clause that allows them to extend their skipper’s deal by a further year, and they are determined to activate it in the coming months to avoid a repetition of last summer’s Harry Kane transfer fiasco.
