Love this kid's pass completion rate from the position coupled with his ability to get forward. If Poch thinks he can slip right in to his system, I'm all for it. I can't imagine him being particularly cheap though.

The best thing about this is simply that the media are suggesting we want to buy a left-back. Worryingly scant links previously.

Would be very happy with this, displaced Taylor with ease who was looking handy before injury. Seems to have a lot of quality for his age and doesn't quite get the recognition for it that Shaw gets (not English I guess!). How much do we reckon he could be got for? £10m?

What do we reckon? £12m? Can't see him going for much more than that and I don't think we could get any better for the money.

He also plays the way Poch likes so I am very exited we're finally being linked

Better than Rose already, with a lot of potential that can be brought out with some good coaching. A lot of top clubs will be in for Shaw, Rodriguez, Coentrao etc. so we could do a lot worse than Davies.

Yeah I'd say that's a closely accurate evaluation, maybe a bit more. Could see Swans holding out for 15 though, they will undoubtedly wish to hold on to this player rather strongly.

I also agree we could hardly do better for that amount. However, there are left backs available in Spain that have previously played under Bielsa or Poch, and would be dramatically cheaper. These players, despite being foreign, very well may likely slot right in to Poch's plan without needing some of the transition time as we saw with so many of our shiny new acquisitions last season. So the question is therefore, is the Prem experience worth how much more we'd have to pay than say Saborit at Bilbao? If so, I would certainly not argue with you or anyone, I'm simply curious as to why such a person would believe so.

I also agree that Davies certainly has a better chance of slotting in to Poch's system than most anyone else we could be considering from the Prem, or almost anywhere else for that matter.

Especially as another 8 would get Rodriguez

Love this kid. I think he's almost as good as Shaw (albeit older) and is faaaar cheaper.

Getting him would be an excellent piece of business. I could definitely live with Davies starting and Rose backing him up.

One of my top choices for our starting LB slot.
Would be nifty peachy keen if we could obtain his services at a reasonable rate.

I agree. It would be a much less risky purchase than a lot of other left backs. I've been impressed with him when he's come to whl. Looks solid defensively which is always a plus in a defender!

I would not be unhappy with this for a reasonable price. One of the better emerging full backs in the league form what I've seen (watched just 4 prem games and some of Swansea's Europa campaign)

I don't think he is anything special to be honest. Whilst he is still young admittedly, his one-on-one defending is worse than any of the fullbacks we currently have in our squad, and I'm not exactly impressed with what our guys do.
