He's played what, 5 games as first choice left back and you're already writing him off. Great.

On a message board, yep, I don't particularly rate him, no harm in that. If he proves me wrong great, I'll hold my hands up. I've seen him play more than 5 games and in that time I've seen him get caught in behind a lot of times. going forward he doesn't offer much if anything. I guess it's easy to come on here and say you rate everyone especially after picking up three points. Out of interest what have you seen in his game which makes you confident he will be the long term answer?

He's actually surprised me. A shame he hasn't got Rose's pace, because he uses the ball a million times better than Rose.

I wouldn't swap the Hurrikane for pretty much anyone bar Aguero or Costa.

Such a talent.

I do worry about Fazio though. Seems very cumbersome.

Despite the last ditch defending I can see a team ethic being built by Poch. I thought it was noticeable against the Turks too.

Small glimmers are beginning to shine. Great to see walker back as well. Quality player. Hopefully be back to his best soon. He is the best RB in prem.

Offer much going forward? He won us the game in the dying seconds lol

That will do for a start - not to mention his tackle that prevented a sure goal. In fact I can't remember such a significant contribution from a full back of ours in a long, long time.

Keep those hands up :)

I'm pleased to see Walker back too, but better than Zabaletta or Ivanovic? I don't think so.

He's technically a far better footballer. Yeah he doesn't have the pace and power, but he's a far smarter/technical footballer - I'll take that every day of the week.

I do. They are in far superior sides and as a consequence their stats look better but for me Walker is the better modern RB. He is quicker than both of them and can cross as well as if not better.

They seem to be better finishers but maybe that's because they get more opportunities?

But pinky, he can't be that smart, people get in behind him all the time and with fairly simple movement. I saw it when he was at Swansea and I've seen it here. It's easy to turn a blind eye when we've won and think everything's great but I wouldn't be surprised to see people calling for a new left back at the end of the year. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Zabaletta is one of the most consistent crossers of the ball in the PL. In fact, with Sagna there City probably have the two best in that regard.

Walker has a long way to go to be as consistent going forward as them. Good to see him back though, we've missed him badly.

You have a point, I like him personally, I think he's neat and very tidy in possession. Not 100% convinced defensively mind.

I usually judge a player after I've watched him play for the full season.

Well imo he's done nothing to suggest he couldnt be a long-term answer at lb for us, plus being a fan I will always have faith and patience for our new signings, I won't write them off within half a season.
