So correct me if I'm wrong, but the article actually says we will earn around £140m because of tv money we're owed and qualification for the champions league.
If we finish 4th it'll actually make fuck all difference in the grand scheme of things.

It's written in a way that if we finish 3rd we'll get £143m more than 4th.
I refuse to read the daily fail, but is their article much the same nonsense?

The headline isn't so much a distortion as an outright lie:

Tottenham have earned £79.15million as a base TV fee, £29.48million for the number of their Premier League games screened and a further £34.92million if they hold on to third place in the table.

So that's £35m for finishing 3rd, as opposed to probably a couple of million less for finishing 4th. Spun to make it sound as if we lose £143m if we don't win our last match.

No mention of the estimated (guesstimated) £15 million rent going to the FA for the use of Wembley Stadium in the expenses column ?

Woohoo, Poch just got us an extra £143m in the barrow for the war chest that'll be used to go on a swooping spree.

Thats how it works isn't it?
