This is a much more likely set of suggestions than your last effort (y). I wouldn't be surprised to see us pick up one of them although individually I reckon they are all odds against.

Other than possibly Barkley does anyone feel that other areas of the squad will be addressed.
Obviously the nearer to the end of August we get the pool of players to choose from diminishes.

I guess a lot depends on how ready Poch feels the likes of Carter- Vickers, Walker - Peters, Onomah, Winks , Nkoudou,
Georgiou , Oakley- Booth , Harrison and Edwards are to be thrown in as and when needed. And of course if he feels Janssen can step up this time. With key players injured at the start of the season and Dele suspended from CL we might need that to be tested earlier than we would like.
Winks is obviously already part of the first team group and possibly Onomah. In theory Nkoudou should do better on the bigger Wembley pitch.
But my overall feeling is that if we are going to push on from last season we need upgrades on Janssen and Nkoudou, a centre back to replace Wimmer and both a creative and a holding midfielder to take the pressure from Eriksen and cover for Dembele. So 5 new signings. We could probably get away with the most important 3 by relying on Winks / Onomah / Janssen ( assuming Son is not out too long ) . I also think that with the ability of Dier and Vertonghen to reluctantly cover at full backs along with the ones we already have means we are ok there. But an Eriksen alternative, an upgrade on Nkoudou and another centre back are I believe our minimum requirements . Chances of that happening ? Not holding my breath.

Yes agree the club won't bring many in probably 2 at the most but yes like you not getting excited about what might not happen.
