Just read this and in my head I pictured Francis Begbie (Robert Carlyle) in Trainspotting jumping on the bed when his bet on 'Bad Boy' comes in lol.
Fantastic post, genuine laugh out loud response from me. But you got a Winner because I bet you're not wrong either!

:notworthy:

just wanna chime in from singapore.

watched together with about 50 other spurs fans in the official venue for the singapore spurs supporters club.

am certain the released angst and victory cries / grunts were just as / if not more heartfelt here than in london / n17 / whl.

being a minority / niche group here, with annoying fans of united / liverpool / arsenal / chelsea dominating papers and social media... it is so gratifying to beat them with such a dominant performance.

COYS!

Can we stop with this meme that we won thanks to Kane's brilliance? We played excellently as a team, which he was an essential part of. His goals may have come through the air, indirectly and directly, but they didn't come out of thin air. We must not underestimate the importance of Bentaleb returning to the midfield, either.

We did play very well today, and I didn't mean to take away from that, I was merely pointing out how different the mood could have been had he not managed to make those wonderful finishes and as such there was no need to pick out criticisms made midmatch in the midst of the revelry.

from arse forum

"Boggles the mind we can produce such a **** performance with these players out there on the pitch. Outplayed and outfought by dross like Bentaleb and Mason."

Then what are Bellerin and Coquelin??? Championship quality at best...

It was more that you think a win against Arsenal could possibly be a 'bitter truth' for any Spurs fan...ridiculous nonsense.
Trying to reframe the quote for your own purpose is what is ridiculous nonsense. The bitter pill I referred to was the manner in which we played and our dominance.

Does it matter? People were (wrongly) concerned because they thought his methods wouldn't translate to the players. Clearly that was bollocks.

To an extent it was true, what people didn't see coming was Poch having the balls to replace those established players with academy products who did.

Poch has truly exposed that a serious amount of our problems in recent times were at the door of our players all along.

Start of the season and the last two months make this abundantly clear

most people were pretty positive through the game even when we were behind.

You didnt need the benefit hindsight at half time to see we were playing very well, losing or not.

Exactly, everyone gave a big applause at half time despite the fact we were 1-0 cause everyone could recognise we were playing well. Speaking of which, even at the very top of block 49 in the North Stand the atmosphere was rocking, though I suspect it was the same round the whole stadium. Great stuff!

To all you people "Just back from the Lane" why aren't you still in the pub celebrating? I don't get it.

One of the unforeseen perils of brainwashing my daughter into Spurs. Nice to see her enjoy it so much but it's also a bitch ambling off home and watching the still childless mates heading off on the piss for the day.
