For last few years we had struggled to get 3 in a game. This year though, we have been consistently getting more than 3 goals, at least 1 every month. Yesterday's game somehow we managed to get 4 goals in spite of not having any of the regular goal scorer on the pitch. Thats really good news moving forward.

Having said that we really need to improve our defensive skills. The number of clean sheets kept in PL is nothing short abysmal for a side competing for top4.

I just said this elsewhere - it's particularly good news coming at home where we've struggled to get goals previously. And it wasn't just that we didn't have Kane, Eriksen or Chadli on the pitch for the goals - we scored them with a second string team un-used to playing together and with a midfield pivot of 2 DM's. Who would have thunk it? Says a lot about the whole squad 'buying in' to Poch, I think.

Mate I had a Mars bar and apple sandwich in a wee village close to Coleraine 23 years ago. Tastes so much better than it sounds.

Haha do you remember the name of the village, I live about 25 miles from there, seems its a localised sandwich filling and I am glad you enjoyed it (y).

We as a support base need to relax and take a step back and support the team no matter who is picked.

Sometimes the atmosphere is so toxic it is no surprise players do not play to their potential.

The majority have shown a genuine warmth and support for Soldaldo (as mentioned last night), and even though he missed a sitter, he had the mental strength to pick up his game as shown with the assists.

Yes we want him to score more, but as long as he is contributing, lets keep supporting him.

What I can say is the guy sat 3 rows behind me in the east upper must have been one hell of a player in his time.

Wish Dier had a go in CB instead of Eunice - not that I dislike Kabs but he is eventually on his way out of the club, while Dier potentially part of the future. Possibly it's down to training performance and competition selection strategies, maybe Poch showing he bares no grudges for the right work ethic and attitude (i.e. things we don't see directly)... still, my personal preference given the situation.

Quite happy Rose was tested out further up and Onomah got his debut.

Re: Paulinho ..It was nice to see a dangerous cross in from a corner whipped In with pace.. Please watch and learn Eriksen! .. I think all our signings are capable of more and improvement.. And Soldado ..that cross was superb! .. Such a frustrating player.. I know there's a player there.. just needs a PL goal and to avoid being dropped the next game.

Or he may need to try harder in training to make him undroppable for the next game?

Was Townsend pulling up trees?
He was decent. He ran at his full back over and over, crossing was hit and miss. Was a decent showing by him first half, but not great.

Two blokes behind me were tallying up all the times that Townsend gave the ball away. Unfortunately that sort of thing is far too familiar in the seats at WHL.

Thats a big worry for me as well the defence is still not right very leaky

2 questions from yesterday's game....

There was an Etienne Capoue song, it was genius but I can't remember what it was.

Why is Chadli a Dolphin ?

I thought he was on fire. Always looking to attack when he had the ball. Spoiled it by the stepover and poor crosses but at least you knew we would be moving in the right direction when he was given the ball.

"We're gunna rock down to with Etienne Capoue, and then with Eric Dier!"

The Chadli dolphin joke started on The Fighting Cock podcast - "because he hasn't got a hair on his body below his eyebrows". And then Chadli heard about it and has started referring to himself as a dolphin on twitter, so it's caught on!

Correct but we added an onomANah to fit the tune, but the gist was there!
No no no no no! It's just Onomah and the little pause before his name is what makes it so good!
