The Carling Cup Final in 2008 was the first time my son was old enough to sit through a full game. I'd brought him up to support Spurs, but had to explain that it was highly likely that we were going to lose because Chelsea were a very good team. He might get a bit of grief from his Chelsea-supporting mates, but that didn't mean anything because they were just glory-hunters whereas we were Tottenham because that's where Granddad had grown up.

Seven years on, I find myself starting to warn him again, but he's seen enough Tottenham by now to know the odds are very much against us. And yet the hope is still there for us both. That sense that there might be another hero lurking in our ranks like there was 7 years ago. That sense that everything might just fall into place again.

And I still have the drawing he did for me after the match of Jonathan Woodgate scoring that goal...

Scoreline prediction?

Has to be 2-1 doesn't it!

Harry to open the scoring and an Eriksen free kick to win it!! That's what I've been dreaming about!

Either that or you have left a few MOTD's from this season on.

You don't need to run a lot if you've got that quickness of mind in terms of football brain.
Either that or you have left a few MOTD's from this season on.

Fall asleep with my Spurs matches still going on my sky plus lol

Has there be any clarity on who will start in goal? I haven't heard or seen much definitive yet, but the fact that Vorm started all 5 games in this competition and Lloris played in Europa makes me a bit nervous. It's a very difficult position for Pochettino to be in. He's clearly a fair manager, and you have to appreciate him for that, but the backlash if he played Vorm and we lost based on a few errors in this game would make things very difficult on him the rest of the season on the heels of having crashed out of Europa.
