These ass hats bring it up every 2 seconds, going back as far as 11 or 14 games. Citing shit like they struggled there last season, as if we played there all season not 3 fkin games. So lets look at it properly shall we? We've played there twice before tonight this season. 1 against the league title holders and yes we lost but played them off the park. And against Burnley who got an equaliser totally against the run of play in the 92nd min after being battered non stop. It happens wherever you play.
Then last season, just the 3 games. Not 41 or 50 but fkin 3. 3 Champions League games. Not league cup. Not against Bournemouth or bloody Newcastle every week but CL teams. Monaco. A team who went way further than anyone expected and have subsequently had that team pulled apart by the vultures. Bayer Leverkusen, not exactly mugs. Oh and we won the other one.... so ... they do win there then???? No no no you go back further and they lost blah de blah de blah.
Well those were cup semi finals and finals you fkin twats. Hard hard games not league games you should be winning. If we'd won half of those we'd have another 6 trophys in the bloody cabinet.
Complete and utter bollocks and the number of muppets on TS and people I meet who actually buy into this drivel. Do they actually watch these games? Do they actually think about what these twats in the media feed them before regurgitating it all over the place?? No, I don't think they do.
Well now they've got to find some other bollox to talk about.
Can't wait to wipe the floor with Swansea on Saturday.

Unusual and fun watching us be a counter team for once.

We aren't exactly the fastest team but even Davies had them on toast a few times tonight, they seemed a bit slow defensively bvb.
Regarding Davies, always liked him as a second choice but that boy has done some serious leveling up!

They seem a bit like Liverpool to me - good at the press, great at attacking; and if you only think in terms of defending against that then you play into their hands. But they don't get much practice at defending, and if you do manage to attack them then it turns out they're shit at that part of the game. It's how you attack them that's key - hard to beat them at their own game - I liked the early counter-attacking and the rope-a-dope tactic of letting them punch themselves out before taking control later on.

Anyone notice how negative Jermaine Jenas was tonight? Takes me back to his playing career for us when he used to go missing or when we would bottle games and truly made me feel this is the same mentality he had on the pitch, and a mentality that was probably shared or influenced by him on the pitch and in the dressing room.

E.g. we're 1-0 up and concede a goal in the 70th minute....Jermaine's thoughts "we're gonna lose this now", we go a goal down inside 10 minutes...."we're gonna lose this now" etc etc.

I think he's a good pundit, he's definitely more intelligent than your average pundit....but tonight felt like a window into his mentality when he was a player. Nice bloke, a bit weak though.
