Really like what we did in the second half, where at times Davies drove centrally and Jane moved to LWB, with Dier dropping in at the back - almost impossible to track as an opposing defender. A lot of fluidity in that team these days.

The biggest plus for me was to see us change tactic and beat a team that out pressed us and was more aggressive. A sign that this team is maturing nicely.

Year or so ago when we got out pressed we crumbled, but tonight we went shoulder to shoulder with a top team and won.

Well done poch

Talk about the goals.... And the referee decisions...

But what won us the game was what Poch did during half time...

Dier & Dembele... Sticking close to Pulisic and Yarmolenko. Bring Eriksen back as a deep lying playmaker. Isolating Aubameyang.

Poch won the game during half time... Gave us a more defensive onset, and we defended well and deserved the win.

Whisper it but it was a good thing that Dele was suspended for this match. Son's was vital and IDK if Poch would have sat Dele. All he would have done is bumbled and flicked in the MF leading to more pressure.

What was the Swiss Cruyff's name? Ziegler?
Harsh, Ziegler was alright and very well for Sampdoria as an attacking wingback afterwards, pity what happened to him at Juventus (frozen out by Conte as soon as he was hired, Ziegler came in the same window, never ended up playing Juve).

Gilberto is the worst player I've ever seen play for spurs, since I started supporting them in the mid 2000s. Raziak also deserves a mention, but he was just clearly out of his depth, Gilberto was like playing against 12. He clearly had something to him, but just not cut out for PL football.

Even if Dele was fit I would have wanted Son to start this.

Don't agree with Hoddle that Dortmund were the better team over the 90, we created more clear cut chances for sure.

Unless he's talking about keep ball. I know they had some dangerous moments in the first half, and the disallowed goal, but we should of scored 6, at least.

But their first goal came about through an offside piece of play.

we are going to need to nick a point off Dortmund away or Madrid at home. I dont like that Dortmund go to Madrid last when Madrid may already have to group sewn up.

In the first half they had the better of us as they controlled the midfield, forcing us to go on the counter, where we got the first two goals. Second half, we changed tactics and forced them back, not allowing them to play the high line. Brilliant second half tactics from Poch.

It was very nervy for me in the first half but second half was a lot calmer.
