The only issues stopping O'Hara playing for us against this year is that it might be written into the terms of the loan that we cannot recall him. Afaik, the transfer window has nothing to do with it, as Nic said, he's our player so its not a transfer as he is our player anyway.

Vital three points, great performance in the first half, the second half i dont think we were that bad we just looked a bit nervous when everton had the ball at times. However if it wasn't for the bringing down of our players on a few occassions when we were on the break i think we would have battered everton..

O'Hara is the Ace in Portsmouth now. not bad if he can return and become our Fabregas.

If O'Hara comes back he will be on our bench behind Hudd and Palacios.

I think he would rather see out the season at Portsmouth getting games.

Modric and Pav help each other's game and improve the whole team's performance much better than any other midfielder+forward combination.

And they should have played much more often (when not injured) much earlier.
Instread, we (well, actually our team manager) kept flogging the option of workhorse Crouch+Defoe with Keane as the only other choice up front. And we kept "hitting Crouchie".

As it is, we are now relying on Man City and Liverpool to blow their chances for the 4th spot, if we are to finish in the CL place - which has been so unusually and realistically accessible this season.

He probably would, sadly.

But personally I'd love to see him at Spurs as Wilson's understudy. He could be great in that aggressive DM position. He wouldn't play every game, but Wilson could have done with a break at several points this season, and J'OH could have done the job. At his age, he's perfect to take over from Sarge incrementally over the next 3-5 seasons too.

I've been saying the same thing since long before he went to Pompey.

I was really disappointed with Everton's cynical fouls today. Pienaar and Neville in particular could easily have been red carded.

The ref hasn't given a red this season.

I was relieved that Fallatio wasn't on the pitch. He would've got away with elbowing Dawson til his face was puffy.

bbc says 18 fouls to spurs 9. that takes the piss and i hope our supporters can understand why the 2nd half proved to be a real slog

It was just ridiculous at one point. I remember Pav, Bale, Modders, Krankie and JD all being hauled down cynically when we were on the counter.

Just back from today's game and thought we played really well.

In the first half we were outstanding and could have gone in at half time 3 or 4 up. We totally dominated the first half and some of the football we played was outstanding, Bale was a constent threat down the left and the interplay for Modric's goal was superb, as was the finish.

Second half was totally differnt as Everton came on strong, particaly after thudd went off. From where i was sitting, it looked like their goal should have been disallowed as it seemed that Gomes was obstructed by the the Everton player in front of him who looked to make no attempt to play the ball. Dispite this goal though we continued battling which was good to see. We also looked dangerous on the counter attack, which is why Everton turned to cynically fouling our players.

Thought Modric was back to his best today and Bale was once again outstanding, also thought that Kaboul did ok as thudd's replacement in CM.

If Hudd is out for a little bit, I reckon giving Gudjohnsen a go in the centre of midfield could be the answer. They are both similar players in that they both arent the quickest but both have great footballing brains and are able to pick out a pass. He played there for a spell in his Chelsea career and from what I remember looked quality in the position. I feel that Kaboul and Palacios are too similar to develop that effective a partnership as both are tough tackling midfielders that lack the creative touch that Hudd brings

Welcome aboard cjsimba

Hopefully Tom won't be out for too long and it won't be a problem, but I guess Gudjohnsen is an option for central midfield. Not sure how much strength and closing down he'll bring though.

dissapointing because spurs really aren't all that

Bloody hell - it's almost as if they think they can play better football than us. Those wins against Manu and Chelsea have really warped their fragile little northern minds.
