I hope I'm wrong, but if his problem was "Gilmore's Groin", rest may ease the symptoms but leave him risking a recurrence as soon as he resumes hard training. I'd have been more reassured if he'd opted for surgery at the end of last season. Fingers crossed that I'm wrong!Re watching his great back pass in last seasons game against Chelsea??
Unsure to be honest ....but without the match fitness I can't see him starting as our RB this season.
When he went down in the box I was like wtf ....the defender was behind him .....hes heading towards the goal ...only two options ....
1. square it if someone else is there for a tap in.
2. SHOOT.
what did he do .....slowed right down so he got knocked over and went down like a sack of spuds ......even my kids were laughing at him.
Well I think I know what he was doing. Torres did it in his good days against Vidic I think it was was chasing him down, stood strong and stopped the defender giving himself time and room to go on and score. For me the defender did barge Kane, maybe he could have been stronger I don't know but he was impeded people (El Haj Diouf, Saurez, Drogba) been getting fouls for those outside the box for ages.
Kane wasn't as bad or as lost as your all saying for me.
We'll agree to disagree ;-) ......but ANY striker who is already past the last defender should be looking to square it or shoot.....he slowed down hoping to be taken out.
Also several times he was falling over like there was a sniper shooting him.....even the commentators at one point made a thing that Kane was on the floor again.
If Rose and Naughton start the season as 1st choice full backs then it is a bit worrying. Not convinced by either.
If the manager is convinced by them surely that's all that matters??
Not really - I've seen a lot more of Danny Rose and Kyle Naughton playing top flight football in the last few years than Pochettino, although he has the ability to make them better players.
Doesn't matter if Pochettino is convinced or not with Naughton either - whilst Walker is worryingly struggling to recover from his long term injury he hasn't really got a choice at RB.
Saying that keeping Rose was the right decision. Two young left backs competing for a starting place (3 if you include Fryers) can only be a good thing.
So essentially what you're saying is that you know more than a professional manager who is paid to make these decisions?
Right ok.
