Bear with me.....so in Blackadder 4 in one episode General Meltchett explained why the army kept using the same tactic despite it constantly failing....baaaa! If we keep doing the same thing eventually the enemy will be completely taken by surprise and it will be a great victory

Winces...but I think Poch will go at them again...maybe doing that will, completely outfox them lol

First big league game at Wembley since Chelsea two months ago.

Just praying we see a side selected from a more tactical point of view than just pure rotation.

I'm going 2-1 Spurs. Kane and Dele for us, Salah for them.

This is one fixture I don't look forward to, dare I say more so than any other in the Premier League? I just think in the last few years we've performed better against all other teams.

Saying that though, I'm more optimistic in regards to this match as opposed to if say, West Brom were the visitors in which it would be a case of trying to get through a couple of buses.

I don't think this game is just massive in terms of our standings in the table but also because it will give us great confidence to attain such a win at Wembley. Winning games like this at that ground will have me somewhat believing we may just cope well enough at Wembley in the season.

It's their fooking year mate, so we will get a draw. We need to play tight and hit em on the break. Poch must have learnt that by now.

To the tosser on the row in front of me who relentlessly goes for the mobile camera every time there is a remote chance that Spurs will score, thinking that you will be able to capture it on cam. I'm sure you are reading this match thread.

Did you know that every time you get up to shoot something with your smart phone camera, actually your girlfriend gets up too.
At least I thought she was your girlfriend, but maybe it's your sister because she doesn't seem that keen on you. Anyway, that gives me free view towards her bewildering and delicious butt approximately 7 out of 8 times Tottenham seems to be in what you must think is a dangerous position (ie. in possession somewhere on the pitch).

So you stretch your self up as far as you can reach, put your smart phone in the air, ready to capture it if Tottenham scores.
The point I was trying to get to, is: Remember, if you are filming it, you might forget it.

Great match thread, BTW.

At least mane is out. Tears us to pieces. We can’t play them as open as we always do at wembley. Will just exploit our high line

Anniversary today; wife is cooking a roast while I lay my plans to watch the game. We'd better win; I'm potentially sacrificing an evening of sweet affections.

Liverpool play a similar game to us and yet we always struggle to get anything against them, it's the same tactics everytime swarm all over us and we can't cope.

In a massive oversight I’ve booked cinema tickets for this afternoon so will miss at least the first half. Potentially the whole match.

To be honest though it's not just their swarming that harms us as we always seem to struggle with their movement, speed of passing and pace too. Like others have said, hopefully we will change our tactics though. It will be much harder for Liverpool if we stay rigid and keep our shape, like we did away at Madrid

Soak up the pressure, hit on the break, let them waste energy then go for the jugular late. Thats how to beat them. Hope Poch has finally learned this.
