Levy and Maradona's body language tho...

To be fair they panned to Maradona after 30minutes, which were a showcase of quick premier league football, and he looked almost dejected (had a few grand on Liverpool I recon!)

Was a game the game yesterday and it was fantastic.
I think the most pleasing and frankly important thing to come out of the last 2 games and BD match is that you can see Poch and the team have learnt. We now play to suit the opposition. We don't play a high line against fast counter attacking teams leaving acres of space in behind for them to simply lob the ball ott and run onto. Poch seems to have realised, unlike the vast majority in todays game, that possesion is NOT king, it's what you do with it that counts.
For me that is a mammoth step forward.
It's a shame its taken until now to get there as watching every single pl team play right into Leicesters hands 2 seasons ago was incredibly frustrating and beyond belief really.
At least we now look the finished article and won't be doing that sort of thing anymore even if every other team is lol.
Like Klopp and Wenger for example. They can only play 1 way. They both have problems at the back, same as last season, and yet neither did anything about it. Must drive their fans nuts. Its like bloody groundhog day.
We capitulated at end of season when Leicester won. The next season we absolutely stuffed everyone in our last fixtures.
We played a high line against Liverpool and got nailed for a few seasons. This season we beat them at their own game and stuffed them.
That's progress. A coach and team that learns from its mistakes and adapts accordingly. What a novel idea lol.
We're so lucky to have Poch.
And the way he deals with the media and the passion he shows....

The only disappointment was not seeing Maradona on the pitch. I have to say he's the greatest player I've seen since I started watching football. I'm hoping he passes on his footballing wisdom to our players.

I actually saw him play at Wembley in 1988 in a midfield with Platini. League v the rest of the world. He got booed.

Was quite concerned when I saw the line up yesterday, but couldn't have gone better really. Right on it at the start and very clinical.

The most pleasing thing about this season though is that Poch and the team are learning and evolving. We no longer have one way of playing and this was the one thing about Poch's tenure I still had reservations about.

Watched it again on MotD and with Kanes first goal the keeper took a bit of flack, rightly so because he's bloody useless, but when he came out he probably calculated that he would get there before Kane, the reason he didn't was because Trippier's ball was so good that it bounced dead slow, it didn't run away from Harry at all, that was quality and deserved a bit more praise.

From Soccernet ;

Harry Kane, meanwhile, took his seasonal total to 13 goals in 12 games in all competitions but, hey, that's not news anymore. Evidently, he's a four-season wonder...

People on here saying that cause dele didn't celebrate when harry scored last week that they must have fallen out.

People do love a drama.

Think it's clear Dele is/was unhappy with his own form, and it makes him surly.

My word, the level of disrespect for this coach and this team within the top premier league managers & press is just staggering.

Listening to the game on Sun, Dean Saunders commentating for TalkShite. Not one word of compliment for Spurs, he actually had the cheek to say 'Liverpool are not far away'. What the fuck is this boy watching.

Henry, Souness + Redknapp spent most of the time digesting Liverpool and their mistakes, not highlighting the great play and pressure Spurs put Liverpool under.

By the way Gomes was at fault for the first goal. Lovren made a scape goat for poor management, however Klopp is still lorded as the second coming.

Post match interview with bbc - Klopp rambling on about presents of goals - even had the cheek to make a comment that Dele didn't connect with the ball properly - did he see Salah's effort.

There are so many more examples of this, however Poch continues to show his pure class and behave as a true gentleman. We are really witnessing one of the best managers this great club has ever had. Now lets follow the footsteps of 'Mr Tottenham' with bringing the title back to the new White Hart Lane. What a honour this would be to the memory of Sir Bill Nicholson. Its a great time to be a supporter of Tottenham Hotspurs.

Seem to remember souness, henry etc being very complimentary. Saying that it would be out of us and city for the title. Not sure what you want? Them to suck our cocks?

Kidding aside, I watched the program today and they were very complimentary about us, exactly as you say. I think the difference about our game this season over last season has been the signings of Sanchez and Aurier, and the improvement of Winks and Sissoko. Once Rose and Lamella return to full fitness our strength in depth will, probably, be the best we've ever had. The pundits, however, will completely ignore it, and that's fine with me, I'm quite happy for us to stay under the radar for as long as possible.
