Go and watch the game again........this time take those biased dark glasses off your head.
I was at the game.
This was forest stiffs vs our stiffs.
Forest had the better chances for 70 mins.
Mason changed the game, if you think otherwise, you should take you're biased glasses off.

Said before I really dont understand the Townsend hate.

Was great to see him, Mason, and Kane celebrating together.

Actually looked like it meant something to them.

Not saying they are world beaters but for me theres not much between these players than some of the more expensive signings we have made eg, Paulinhio, Chadli, Capoue, even Soldado and Lamela (NEg rep away!!)

Again, post is fine, until the final line.

Can't you post anything without having some kind of dig or complaint in it? Couldn't you have finished this one with "Actually looked like it meant something to them" without then going on to moan about other players?

Fuck's sake.

Please tell me what we created prior to the the subs coming on?

Nothing.

This is where people are getting confused. Townsend's performance was an energetic one. He tried, and that's the least any of our players should be doing. So in that respect he was one of the better performers out of a very poor bunch for the first hour of the game.

So whilst he tried in the effort stakes he actually didn't really produce anything of note. Alarmingly, given how much he saw of the ball, its a damning indictment how little he failed to produce with it and how little we failed to produce as a team as a result in the first 60-65 minutes of the game.

I'm honestly staggered at how people are rating him MOTM. That's not slating a player, its just pure bewilderment.

I had to look at the match line up to remember who played along with Townsend in our attacking 3 behind the striker.

Even if thats all you got from his performance,I would take being energetic and putting in effort as a major plus when you look at the effort the likes of £17m Paulinho,£26m Soldado and Aaron Lennon(who for some unknown reason was made captain even though we wanted rid of him in the summer)who has been here 9 years and gets £3m in wages for what?

I went with the football on the laptop and Bake-off on the TV...

But, but... You're a fella. Why are you watching a show about elderly people and hipsters baking cakes? My girlfriend, my mum and my sister watch that stuff... (and secretly me a little bit when I'm in the room and the gf has it one).

He did put in effort but in terms of end product...MOTM? Not for me.

Mason played very well when he came on and when we added him to the effort and energy of our other young players the game changed in our favour.

I have been saying for ages that if Liverpool had spent all that money on those players.....we would be pissing ourselves with laughter.
We spent £50m on Soldado,Paulinho and Chirches and we will be very, very lucky to get £20m back..........will Levy take that hit?................If he doesn't these guys will be here for quite a while.
Capoue and Chadli............they are ok not worth half of what we spent on them.
They both could be a bit better if someone shoved a rocket up their arse every game but from their languid demeanour thats probably very unlikely.
Lamela.......hope he comes good, still young and at least he puts in the effort everytime he plays.......even though there are lots of things he needs to improve on.At present still looks like a very expensive Adel Taraabt.
We need(ed) to spend big money and big wage on less players - to produce a quality first eleven and a smaller squad containing more homegrown youth - a bit like Arsenal I suppose. Better to have Mason on the bench every PL game and playing every cup game rather than urinating money up the wall on a host of squad players that we've wasted transfer fees on.

Don't be so bloody sexist.

Hollywood makes a mean pork pie and if I want to follow how he makes his pastry, that is up to me.
