Lamela, Dembele and Capoue have all done well.

But once again, the deep lying defence of the opposition frustrating us.

Our wide forwards spend too much time playing as midfielders and not enough playing on the backline like strikers. Allways wanting to pick the ball up in front of the defence instead of asking for it in behind

At some point surely Avb is going to realize that every single team that comes to WHL is going to set up the same way.

Its not a coincidence. Time for your plan b avb. Question is, do you have one?

Positives from that half: Lamela looks really, really good. Capoue, Dembele, Younes/Verts look solid, 80% possession.

Negatives: Eriksen hasn't been great, Defoe pretty poor, Naughton being Naughton.

I am sorry but I'm bored shitless.

This isn't my spurs
A Spurs team utterly ineffective in the attacking 3rd of the pitch? It remarkably familiar for me. Spent my first 15 yrs watching largely inept shite.

Frustrating but for different reasons. The wide areas need sorting. It's not a matter of time. We don't have the players at FB to play it effectively right now. Time for AVB to sort it tbh, it's what he gets paid for. He's compromised his tactics plenty of times before in the name of pragmatism and success. Time to play conventional wide men and tell the FBs to support the attack but not provide the width themselves.

At least until the Jan window.

Andy Townsend sounds like...he's smearing shit into a pillowcase on the other end of the phone from someone and getting excited that his deception is working.

or am I getting carried away...

He sounds like the colour biege.
