15:15 Red Card - Naughton
15:07 GOAL Tottenham 1-2 Stoke - Nacer Chadli
15:01 Yellow Card - Kaboul for foul on Walters
14:59 Yellow Card - Mason for foul on Sidwell
14:54 SUBSTITUTION
Tottenham 0-2 Stoke Adebayor for Capoue.
14:34 SUBSTITUTIONS
Tottenham 0-2 Stoke Erik Lamela and Mousa Dembele are sent on to repair the damage for Spurs. They replace Andros Townsend and Christian Eriksen.
Half Time Tottenham 0-2 Stoke
14:17 Yellow Card - Capoue for foul on Nzonzi
14:03 GOAL Tottenham 0-2 Stoke - Jon Walters
I thought Tottenham were poor at Villa Park last Sunday - and they are at it again today. Such a bad goal to concede as Stoke collect Danny Rose's slack clearance, Mame Diouf breaks into the area and squares for Jon Walters - who applies the finish with his left foot.
Silence from the home fans. Joy from the away end.
13:53 Yellow Card - Begovic for time wasting
13:51 Yellow Card - Cameron for foul on Townsend
13:36 GOAL Tottenham 0-1 Stoke - Bojan Krkic
"
Tottenham just back off and back off and nobody shuts him down. Bojan just drives right at the heart of the Tottenham defence. One of the centre halves has got to come out, they left Danny Rose too exposed.
"But it's a great strike by Bojan, no chance for Hugo Lloris in goal. Terrible start for Spurs. You would think the early goal would just play right into Stoke's hands."

How nice would a comfortable home win after a Europa League game in front of the international break feel?

Give me a comfortable 5-0 with Lamela, Soldado and Kane on the scoresheet.

Too much to ask for? ..... Need a miracle

Mauricio Pochettino reports no fresh injury concerns ahead of our Premier League clash against Stoke at the Lane on Sunday.
Didn't even tell us that Bentaleb got injured and have simply put it in the team news bit. It's been a long injury and could end up being a few months. They should fucking inform us when one of our players gets a bad injury like that. Fucking useless.

Felt a bit like @yankspurs there...

Mate, the clubs PR team is quite possibly the most useless in the premier league. Like ENIC should be embarrassed at how awful their PR team is. They are useless when it comes to informing on the squad and are useless when it comes to connecting with fans. Their useful for matchday team news, once a week loan watches, silly videos and retweets for award congratulations. They are useless when it comes to travel squad news, injury news, any other kind of video, training stuff(besides the odd week where theres a pic gallery - even that uses to be once every week, sometimes twice. now i rarely see them), player on pre contracts updates. You wanna know who we get our Europa travel squad news from? Simon Peach. Fucking be better, Spurs.

It'd be nice if they told us when our youth guys are around the first team. It'd be nice if they named the 23 man squad before a match day. It would be nice if they told us "With Mauricio in attendance..." or "With *insert player/coach here* assisting Ugo on the touchline...." in the youth match reports. Instead, we get that from Windy or the SO youth watcher. It would be nice if they told us when a recall clause was included in a loan.

It would be awesome if they would update us on injury timelines(and in Nabil's case, inform us when he got hurt!).

You're doing a fucking brilliant job, Donna:cautious:

Stoke aren't a bad team, they are more open than they used to be which is good for us but they can still do the nitty gritty (which is bad for us) . I think this will be another team that comes to The Lane without any fear, they've seen Newcastle and WBA take points so they'll be trying too.

Charlie Adam will try and cause us problems in more ways than one, whether it's hacking us down or trying to give us the run around. He will feel a bit unhappy Bale isn't playing so he can't hack him down. Our full backs may have to be more disciplined than usual as Moses always likes to run onto the ball on the wings. Dier and Rose like to get forward as much as possible so they have to keep their wits about them. I'm hoping Kane gets to start, normally I'd say Soldado but Shawcross is very physical and could frustrate Soldado a lot, he has a lot of fire in the belly! With the crowd not being very patient lately it wouldn't surprise me if Hughes asks them to get stuck in quickly and I'm sure a couple of their players will try to ruffle some of the players feathers

I'm going for a long 2-1, it's not going to be pretty.

Yeeey, another sunday game..

"Mauricio Pochettino's side have lost three of their last four home matches in the league, with those defeats all following a Europa League fixture on the Thursday beforehand. Tottenham lost six of their 12 league games following a European tie last season."

source

Tired legs, subdued atmosphere due to the early sunday kick-off.. Yeah, this isn't going to be pretty. Still, I think (hope) we can get a result.

This sounds bad but I can't see anything but a Stoke win (maybe a draw). That second half against Asteras was so eye opening...we are shocking at the back right now.

They have adapted the counterattacking style this year and they've just started to play it correctly. They will bunker up at the back, we'll struggle to get any meaningful chance, and then Diouf/Moses/etc will kill us on the counterattack. Crouch will probably get a goal against us. And to cap it off this is on the back of an EL away game, so even more likely.

That Villa result, even the 2-1 midweek. On paper it looks nice, but it's just papering over cracks. This team has to play a lot better to have any chance of winning games in the Prem. I know this sounds bad but I'm just being honest based on what I've seen of both teams lately. Wish I could confidently predict a Spurs win but I don't see it at all.

All right, all right, Ade's recent displays do not warrant him a starting position, but most are acting as if he has turned into Andy Booth or Grzegorz Rasiak over night. Ade has a proven track record with us, and who knows, (maybe Sherwood:pompous:) he can still turn it around...
