"I would've had no effect on that game [against Liverpool]. Against teams we've got left to play, the players know the script now."

I can't imagine any manager with something about him coming out and saying they wouldn't have made any effect on a game. Just shows to me that the guy is really out of his depth. It's a shame as I honestly had high hopes for him especially after some of the good work done at academy level.

I'd play Townsend at LB. He isn't going to be any worse defensively than Rose and is better in attack. Also he will work harder too.

A Spurs game is a Spurs game to me and I will be cheering them on from my armchair. Even though I don't particularly like Sherwood, some of the abuse you lot give him is embarrassing and being so apathetic to the team??? Well it doesn't seem right to me. COYS

Townsend has been terrible at tracking back and defending, so I see no proof that he has the discipline to play a LB role.

If Rose is fit he probably has to play, he knows Sunderland so it makes sense. That being said, we really need a new LB in the summer.

Not much even Jose Mourinho could do if one of his players passed it into his own net after less than 2 minutes and another passed it straight into the path of the deadliest striker in the league.
