Would like to reiterate that if we're still 2 points behind Leicester a win over Arsenal will put us top and put all the pressure on them. They seem to play before us a lot lately, so let's see how roles are reversed.

Obviously get through Wednesday first!

34 shots, a miss shot goal and a full back strike. And we don't struggle to score against teams that sit back?
But we didn't struggle today to break Swansea's defence down, we struggled to beat a possessed Fabianski and we got a bit unlucky with two Eriksen free kicks going narrowly wide.

You really need to get some perspective. We absolutely battered their goal. So much so their keeper was clear MOM.

What I never get about comments like this is what nirvana are you comparing our form to? What team creates loads of clear cut chances and outplays and smashes the opposition every match?

Every team has players off form; every team has periods when they don't sparkle but still get the result; every team goes through periods when they don't carve the opposition open up at every opportunity. The most important aspect for us, despite all this, is we are still picking up points and doing better than 18 other teams in the league.

I just don't get why you can't enjoy the win rather than expecting the team to perform to some unrealistic standard that only exists in your imagination.

Totally agree, Fergie has often said that at their very best, during their most successful seasons there was possibly three players in each game that were being carried or off form, BUT still possessed the right attitude and desire.

Today Lamela and Kane were not at their very best, Lamela i would guess from the effort he put in on Thursday and Kane because of his injury, but they both still ran their nuts off and played for their team.

So in all honesty how would you have felt if it had ended up 2-2. When Dele gave away that free kick. I thought bollocks here we go. Maybe furious was the wrong word to use but not being clinical will cost us. I don't mind losing if we're outplayed and I don't mind drawing if teams match us, but I don't want to drop points when we batter teams blow our chances and they nick a lucky goal to win or draw

I have had the good fortune to be invited to watch a couple of games from an east stand box. I went today, and previously the home win against palace. The constant pressure we apply is reminiscent of the way man utd would play in their hay day. A real belief has come to this side. We look the real deal, a solid team. COYS.

You realise that you're complaining about something that didn't happen right?

Okay I will bite. Since you are so determined to deal with "ifs", what if a quarter of our 34 shots had scored? Get my drift?

Struggle to score
FFS. We are the joint top scorers in the PL. We have conceded the least in the PL. We are second and hunting down the leaders. Today we scored 2 - the opposition scored 1- this means a win and three points. The pressure was on after falling behind and we did the job. Also played pretty damn well enough that their coach said we were the best they'd played this season.
Now cheer up.

But they didn't, that is the point.

You're getting all unnecessary over a totally hypothetical scenario.

Think about it chief, "if they had scored"... Seriously, if? If you want to apply hypothetical situations against us, you seriously need to balance them with those for us.

"If Fabianski had had a standard game we'd have put up a cricket score."

"If Eriksen hit his free kicks a little sweeter he'd have had a brace."

If you are going to get anguished about something, FFS find something real rather than imagined.

Been back from the game a while but now I am ready to post, I am beyond excited, I am basking in the warm glow of total confidence, I believed before today but the game today was for me, a milestone, we looked like champions and at the end I honestly think the players felt like champions.
In other years this would have been "one of those days" but we don't have those any more, we keep going and we do eventually score; We are RELENTLESS!!!
After Leicester's win yesterday all the pressure was on us, tonight it is all on them, at half time they would have been celebrating but at the end they'd have felt like they lost that game themselves and now they know that they can't afford any slip ups, they don't win, we'll be there.
Just a word on Christian Eriksen, I'd like to pass an opinion but I couldn't keep up with him, he was absolutely everywhere involved in everything, absolutely magnificent, what a performance.
A couple of points 1/ relentless .. Yes ! 2/ Eriksen .. MOTM, even last man in defence at one point !

Beautiful to behold.

What's with the mass opposition to any criticism on this forum? You literally can't say one negative thing without being bombarded by neg ratings and replies shooting you down. The world's best players get to the level they are through continued perseverance at improving all aspects of the game and the top managers demand perfection. Just because we're doing lots of things very well at the moment doesn't mean there shouldn't be discussion why X, Y or Z can't be done better.

didnt get to watch the game live as was working so managed to watch it after without so much emotion knowing we eventually won, first half i felt we were ok but apart from the save at the end didn't do too much, most fab's saves were straight forwards, 2nd half felt we really took it up a gear, were more threatening from set plays for a change, liked how much toby and dier interchanged when bringing the ball out from the back and a special mention to Walker who i felt had probably his best game of the season, some excellent crosses and didnt always come inside like he has done too much recently.
