Think it's a tough one as you have to take it a game at a time at this stage.

Imagine the backlash if we rested Kane (especially) then lost... Also it's made harder given to rest Kane we need to put someone up top who isn't a striker.

Could have played Bentaleb I guess for Dier but Poch clearly doesn't trust him in the league yet.
I suppose I have reached the point where I think any 11 of our squad would beat Swansea. I know every game is difficult and we are reknowned for banana skins, but I feel we may overwork Dier and Kane this week, as presumably we all agree they start in the next 2 games. Its a pity it wasn't WHam followed by Swansea then Arsenal.

Anyway lets hope for a convincing performance and then Poch can sub those who we need to preserve.

Loving this lineup. I think that's our strongest team when Dembele and Vertonghen are out.

Son, Lamela, Deli, Erickson and Kane...

... presumably we're going out to try to have this game won by half time.

Concentrate and take each game one at a time as it comes. We should be bothered about Swansea now, WH and Arse is for another day. Play our strongest available team from now on.

Kane's nose/cheek looks pretty sore... surprised they're letting him play, but the medical staff know better than me.

Alli just got a bit of a knock in the warm up-looks in a bit of pain

Not sure about starting Dier or Kane in this game, with WHam and Arse to play this week. Dier is 2 yellows from suspension.

Don't get me wrong, its a great line up, just rather save those 2 for later.
I commented on this subject in the last Swansea game that bookings don't occur in spurs-swans ties. Then of course was made to look a fol when dier pick a cheapy up and was suspended from Pool game. But TYPICALLY this tie is not physical. That being said I hope Dier and Alli keep their heads.

Good looking team. Especially in that Alli, like Mason, can arrive from his deeper position to create that extra option.

Swansea haven't been good at parking the bus in the past but their new manager being Italian might see a change of approach.
Never heard of their striker but here's hoping Eriksen again puts a free kick past their keeper and Hugo keeps out anything clever Gylfi fires at him.

Coys!

Oh fucking kill me now.

In South Africa this week so watching on TV. There isn't a pre match show for our game, only the Man Utd/Arse game.

The studio guests are Sol Campbell and Michael Owen.

Shoot me.

:dead:

I dunno if I'd use those expressions in South Africa

what happened?

Not exactly sure tbh-they were doing some shooting exercises and I looked up and he was lying on the side of pitch with medics looking at his ankle-he's up and walking now but looked in a bit of discomfort
