1: Because you start a thread for every thought that enters your head
2: Cupcakes.
3: Because there's already a Deir thread
4: Because you mostly start these things when they are already being discussed in the match thread
5: Because all of the above means its now policy to lock pretty much any thread you start

Pick one and we'll run with it :D

Youll miss me when Im gone

The first 3 of the 4 consecutive league draws was without our talisman and top scorer. I think that has more to do with why we weren't converting draws in to wins as opposed to anything psychological.

Our next three home games are Swansea, Hull, and Burnley. A real chance to get some wins on the table in time for Christmas.

Alderweireld will make a massive difference when he comes back. Not only an incredible defender, but his range of passing is up there with the very best at the club.

I'm personally not worried. The team knows what it is capable of, but we need to play with our tails up. Hopefully this win over whoever that inconsequential bunch of relegation fighters were will inject a bit more confidence into the side.

Fuck i hate West Ham, what's with having the Union flag on their shirts too? Cockwombles!

We really need to play faster, press harder and take less touches when playing at home and FFS stop trying to walk the ball in!

Eriksen needs either a rocket propelled bulldog up his arse or a trip to a sports shrink (who's the bloke that worked wonders on Ronnie O'Sullivan?)

BTW Has anyone found out why they got given a pen (which i'm not sure a sane person can argue that it was anything other than a pen) what was different about theirs compared to the two (i'm sure it was two) that were't given for us for the same offence? If Mike Dean has decided to lay the law down on it (which i don't have an issue with) then he needs to lay the law down on all of them!

Harry Winks was our best player over the 90 i thought, good 3 points much needed result.

Fuck i hate West Ham!

Still not sure about their penalty. Surely if you pull someone back the person being pulled should fall backwards, rather than forwards, like Reid did.

Poch got lucky today. Terrible team selection and tactics given who we were playing.
To be fair missing Toby is a huge loss. And then there's Alli and Lamela not playing plus Kane has been missing.
However Pochs really not helping. Choosing to play Jansen when he's been shite, leaving Son and Alli out. Dropping Dier from dm after he was fantastic for us last season and playing him cb while wimmer sits on the bench after also being fantastic last season just doesn't make sense to me.
Its like we're trying to squeeze in players we bought, Wanyama, that we didn't really need. We've spent lots of money and brought players in who are getting into starting 11 but not fkin 1 of them is better than what we had last season imo.
Said I wasn't going to Wembley cl game after sitting through first 2 but I thought maybe after Arsenal performance. Today I decided no fkin way.
Whats really frustrating is we were good against City and Arsenal and I'm pretty confident we'll do well next week against Chelscum.

He's not going to pick two left footed CB to play alongside each other which is why Wimmer hasn't been picked.

Wanyama has been one of our best players so far this season, and a huge reason why we haven't lost in the league. I agree we need to be more fluid going forward and he's stifled that a bit, but Dier has to play CB, and we are missing him in midfield. When Toby is back I think we will see more of that.

Poch has had his hand forced in recent weeks due to injuries and we've come out with 4 points from 2 big derbies. He changed it up a couple of times after people moaned that he doesn't have a plan b, and then when he does change it people moan that we aren't playing the way we did last season.

The man can't win.

Honestly I worry about some people.

It's definitely a penalty. We got one v Leicester for about 2% of that sort of pulling and pushing

Wasn't at all happy with Erikssen today, and that's not rare lately. Watched Swansea and continue to think we sold a better player off in Sigurdssen without ever giving him a chance in erikssens position.

We should buy him back iimo(optimistic i know )

Sure others have said this already as not read back through the thread (tend to steer clear on match days), but that was a HUGE win for us! Not at our best by any stretch, but never panicked and kept fighting right to the end and got the 3 points that, with arse and pool dropping, puts us right in the mix. I fucking love the resilience these young lads show, and you'd have to consider us genuine title contenders now. Special mentions to Kane, Winks, Rose and Son when he came on, gives us a huge boost going into the Monaco and Chelsea games.

Oh and a huge shout out to those at the Lane today, even watching on TV the atmosphere was incredible.

Was a similar feeling to the game where Bale rifled in the winner in the dying seconds, what football is all about!

"its papering over the cracks"

Until just now when Mrs A&C got out the shower while I was passing the bathroom and bent over to pick up a towel, I didn't know what this load of codswallop meant :D

3pts off top. Fifth in the league. 12 games unbeaten and i'm astonished that people actually moan about the unbeaten thing. It's genuinely baffling, crap teams don't go 12 games unbeaten. Some people today were actually saying it was a good thing that the run is over, which I struggle to square with the moaning that occurs when we don't win and win by playing swashbucking football.

We've only been playing well in fits and starts and if and when we do start hitting some sort of form, we'll be a serious proposition.

Nobody is suggesting that all is perfect, right now the team is struggling to play consistently to the standard we know they can, but they aren't that far off really and things aren't as bad as people like to make out. This rush to negativity baffles me, its really not as bad as some of you like to make out....

We actually have a very good team.

Great win and if you want to see anyone care for his shirt, watch Harry Winks' reaction when the final whistle blows. That's what I love.

I also met Ledley King today. Superb moment for me personally.
