Tottenham are interested in England defender Marc Guehi as Crystal Palace brace themselves for a fight to keep another key player ahead of next season. Spurs will look to sign as many as two new centre-backs ahead of next season with Guehi prominently in their plans.

Wouldn't he just be Romero back up? Back 3 need left footer on the left and I'm not sure Guehi could play mid CB

Could be a good upgrade on Sanchez / Tanganga / Rodon, but not the CCB or LCB that we need, so it would be difficult to justify spending the circa £50m required.

I'm kinda torn on him. He was good for Palace last season but whenever I've watched him this season (only 2-3 times tbf) he's looked pretty rubbish and IIRC he was terrible in our 4-0 game against them.

Would be curious to hear what Palace fans think about him.

Isn’t he a right footer that players on the left? Sounds like the guy that’s used to wear our 26

In a back 4 though, and he's fairly short, which role based seem to push him more towards Romero's. Maybe he's considered as a versatile back up if Sanchez leaves.
But for instance replacing Dier, then Andersen makes more sense. Though I believe we're forced to consider home grown a lot these days.

Why couldn’t he be a ccb? Also doubt it would happen as palace would probably stick a £100m price tag on him like Zaha.

I think he’s decent but probably not good enough and isn’t ideal for CCB or LCB that we need to fill with top quality this summer. Niklas Sule is my top pick for CCB, he’d cost a fair bit but he’d be perfect, he’s an absolute beast physically, 195CM, 100KG but was clocked as Bayern’s fastest player at a top speed of 35kmph before he left. His physical attributes and top end speed translate well to a CCB who has more time to get up to speed when reacting to balls in behind and the guy is born leader. LCB is up for debate for me but now Skriniar is off the market the best CB we could realistically sign is Sule hands down
