Mawspurs, you should seriously consider not posting articles from the daily star. Metro is pushing it, but the Star.... No. 99.9 percent of the time its utter bollicks

We all assume that Sherwood's on his way out, but all the emphasis seems to be on finding a "big-hitter" to replace him, rather than approaching the matter calmly, seeing which candidates are actually available, and discussing how they would work to develop the existing squad.
At the moment, it seems as though the whole process is being driven by the media, and is largely benefiting the highest-profile names (LvG, FdB, Pochettino, etc), when the better approach would be to find someone who's a better fit for us, i.e. the "next" Roberto Martinez or Brendan Rodgers.

I know what you mean and I try to avoid the poorer sources when possible. Sometimes its a slow news day though and SC'ers need something to discuss. ;)

Someone should release an article with the headline " Tottenham do not know who they want "
Yes they do. They want someone who is cheap, submissive to the Chairman, can man-manage Adebayor to score 30 goals, and a brilliant tactician who can lead Spurs to a top finish in the Prem.

We need a winner in the dugout, let's get over any dislike we have for this
individual and try for Benitez.Trophy winner at five different clubs, has to
be head and shoulders above those mentioned.

Roberto Martinez is back on Tottenham's managerial wish list. Spurs are weighing up a shock approach for the Everton boss after overlooking him two years ago.

Read the full article at Daily Star

When everybody returns we are left with - Lloris, Friedel...Fryers, Rose, Naughton, Vertonghen, Kaboul, Dawson, Chiriches, Walker...Carroll, Holtby, Livermore, Lennon, Bentaleb, Townsend, Chadli, Sandro, Dembele, Paulinho, Eriksen, Siggy, Capoue, Lamela...Adebayor, Soldado, Kane
Surely a good Manager (with a few ins and outs) should be able to compete if he can get the best out of this lot?

If Levy approaches him I hope Martinez tells him, no thanks you had your chance and chose AVB instead. He's got a better job at a stable club where he'll be offered plenty of time with low expectation. Completely the opposite to the job on offer we us. He'd be mad to take us on now although he was my preferred choice when he was at Wigan and still is.

Who was manager of Wigan when we beat them 9-1? Oh yes, Martinez. Let's get him in!!!

Would love him to come to Spurs but would lose a little respect for him if he left Everton. Oh well, I'm sure we can both live with that.
