Tottenham say only a total clampdown on anti-Semitism would make them reassess club standards on their fans chanting a term for Jewish people which some find offensive.

Lol. The very definition of irony. Chelsea... CHELSEA!!!... might find it offensive. I mean, I'm speechless. The most vile, racist, nasty bunch of thugs in world football, that have a history around the world of being scumbags. We clearly use it as a term of endearment, we're proud of our heritage. What a horrible club from top to bottom.

That's like Hitler giving a lecture to the Salvation Army on how to treat people.

When I go 5 full seasons without hearing the loathsome 'hsssss' from opposition fans, I might start to give a fuck.

If football wants to attack racism the first place to start would be Chelsea. They have been a bastion of racism for many years and until very recently have made no attempt to combat it. I am afraid Sky will resort to any depths to have a go at Spurs.

It's ok to call ourselves yids. Not ok to call others yids or similar. How anyone can be offended at us referring to ourselves as yids is beyond me.

Exactly. And then they go on to using Chelsea as an example of banning chanting from the stands. Well, they "banned" racism directed towards others. Spurs fans (largely) chant honourably about themselves. It is just not the same thing. I'm not Jewish and come from a very different background so I'm without vested interest when I say this, but I'm proud to be associated with all honourable Tottenham-fans, also and especially the Jewish followers. And everybody shall know that they can't get to me or wind me up by derogatory name-calling, because to me the names means honour.

When was the last time a spurs fan used the word yid in a derogatory sense? We are not the issue.

I’m not sure what people are expecting to achieve by stopping us using the word. Will Chelsea fans suddenly decide not to be racist ****s the following day? Or even in their lifetimes? No, I didn’t think so either. Only way to keep it out of the football grounds is to ban the racists. Ban Chelsea from away games completely. And maybe once they are allowed back in the fans they do have that aren’t racists might make a stand against the other lot.
