Tottenham retain an interest in Everton keeper Jordan Pickford despite his recent new deal, the 29-year-old signed a new four-and-a-half year contract in February running until the summer of 2027.

Brentford’s David Raya is a top target for Tottenham, but they are monitoring Pickford.

One intriguing alternative is Croatia number one Dominik Livakovic. He has been watched by Spurs while playing for Dinamo Zagreb and is valued by his club at around £10million.

I'd go for Livakovic as it's the cheaper option, thereby presevering more cash for a big and much needed upgrade to the CB position.

Raya being homegrown could in itself save us money and hassle down the line, though.

Raya is going somewhere as Brentford have already got a replacement , didn't realise he counts as homegrown so that's a bonus .

We should be going for the best viable option, not the cheapest. Our new starting GK is a crucial signing that defines how confidently the defensive unit in front of them will play.
