Not to be taken to seriously, but a manger looks so much better wearing a suit on the touchline. All the top managers wear a suit (Ferguson,Wenger,Mourinho,Benitez, Rijkaard,Capello etc). I can't think of a top manager in a tracksuit.
It brings an air of authority to the manager. A manager just doesn't look right in a club tracksuit. Jol mostly wore a tracksuit so it was great to see Ramos in a suit for his first couple of games.
Then to my horror he was wearing what looked like a cross between a Tottenham tracksuit and a pair of pyjamas for the game in Israel. Just hope his suit got lost in transit.
Please wear a suit in future Senor Ramos.

Jose sometimes wore one, didn't he?

Older men do look stupid in tracksuits anyway. Once you reach a certain age they should be made illegal.

I agree, a tracksuit for training so he gets more involved but matchdays a suit just makes him look more comanding than friendly.

I wonder what other trivial, stupid and totally pointless things we can winge about?

Ramos' hair maybe? or perhaps the way he walks?

it's no wonder most people think spurs fans are idiots, we make a point about the most rediculous things.

Ramos always wore a suit at Sevilla, so I doubt it was his choice to wear the tracksuit. I think it's a requirement for the manager to wear the Puma gear to help with advertising or something.

It cant be pointless, as if it pointless it wouldn't have a purpose.
abit like wining about stupid posts, and then making one with no constructive points in them....

Why do you think buissness men and women wear suits to work? Why dont they go in with jeans and t-shirts every day?

Its because they wouldn't get the same respect from the people they work with and clients.

Indeed. Appearances are important and particularly so when you're in the public eye. If you're in a management role you should look the part.

I sound like my boss - not sure that's an auspicious start!

Hello all btw.

On that basis Keane and Berbatov must have had super-stretchy shirts made up specially!

a sute looks better, but IMO it wont do much to help us win, if the team only gets motivated by the manager wearign a sut instead of a tracksuite then they arnt playing for the club or there carrers i feel

What about baseball, where the manager wears a uniform...imagine that idea catching on in other sports...

Basketball coaches
Hockey coaches (helmet compulsory)

Wenger in full kit...including shinpads...

Ha ha, I was actually discussing this with a mate of mine in the pub during Thursday's game. It never bothered me that Jol wore the tracksuit, but I have to admit Ramos looked quite different - and less of an authority in his.

wearing a suit is the way forward - it oozes more authority and class IMO. a tracksuit is never a good look for a manager as far as im concerned.

Don`t care if the bloke(Ramos)stands on the touch line in stockings and suspenders, so long as he gets Tottenham to the right end of the table.
