It's not a criticism, but the lack of a transfer thread round here has always suprised me. Simply because not all transfer talk is related to an individual or ITK, However, it almost certainly would end up as being a list of people's wants/formations/net spent/ leaked over ITK all on repeat, so there you go, it's understandable.

@Rob - I agree with others. There is no place on the forum where people can discuss general transfer plans. If someone says 'I want another CAM', and suggests some players, that definitely shouldn't be in the ITK thread and I don't think people want to read that in a thread about Llorente for example. In my opinion, either a general transfer thread needs to be created, or the Wish List thread shouldn't be locked as soon as the Transfer Forums are available again.

Also - why was the Spurs Scouting Thread locked? It was open for years and is just where people talk about future prospects. I don't see what's wrong with it and I think myself and others felt it was very informative.

Didn't we have a massive thread in Spurs chat called 'summer transfer wish list'? Surely that's the best place for such things?

Big fan of the new Halo for ITK

Big fan of the rest of the transfer site but it has taken me a good few years and plenty of lurking in the threads to feel confident enough to post having grasped the rules.

In conclusion big fan of the site

Exactly - but it's locked when the Transfer Forum is opened.

@Rob Maybe don't lock that thread? It's in Spurs chat and can't possibly have a negative impact on the transfer forum/ itk thread/ player threads? It's harmless and would reduce traffic and mayhem in the itk thread surely?

Perhaps the wishlist chit chat thread could somehow be linked (hyperlinked, pinned or a viewing window etc) to the itk ticker or ro.so you get real time updates or easy clickable access to that thread too. Otherwise navigating between the two forums may cause people to be lazy or forget where they are and do something wrong.

You think? :D

Yeah you see it with player discussion. People should and probably do know its not for that thread but cant help themselves,as they have a point and they bloodywell want to make it. If you had a thread with everything in there you could pretty much sit them in there and they won't have any reason to escape. Therefore not doing any damage. Like a child detention center.

You know what might be useful? A thread of shame featuring examples of posts that led to bans from the ITK thread.

You could remove the user names, but it would be a useful reference point for people who aren't sure about what can and can't be posted. I reckon half of the time people get banned because they're not clear on what is acceptable.

I know you have the pop-up rules message, but I'd imagine most people pay about as much attention to that as terms & conditions. Some solid examples might get the point across.

To be honest i don't think its rocket science. Keep it on topic re itk info. Its Just people can't help themselves and have to post their view. I suppose its human nature.

I can only recall 1 (maybe 2 posts) from JJ asking for them not to be in the RO. Why did nothing else make it in there? Even the stuff from Ali z, hertyid, etc from other forums didn't make it in. Honestly I don't know and maybe it's our fault for not pushing the RO as much as usual which we'll need to address next time.
I must say i used to do a lot of putting it in the RO but I haven't had time this year really to put a lot in if any i don't think. Think Happyspur, think that was his name, used to also

Would it be possible for the ITK's to toggle what they post as ITK flagged so vs Opinion which just posts normal for those that get more involved? I guess that would require ITK training or a moderator to make a judgement call ans flag it... (n)

Anyone can stick anything between [ itk ] [/ itk ] tags to have it show like that.

Sorry for being a bit slow - I still don't understand why it needs to be an ITK Discussion thread. Why not just the ITK thread reserved solely for the verified ITK providers. People could then refer to it when discussing more general transfer policy in the General Discussion thread. You wouldn't have to worry about it being talked about twice in both threads because people could only post in the General thread.
