Why anyone would neg rep this post is beyond me! Some things ARE more important than football and this thread reflects that truth. If you are not touched by this lad's story then there is something fundamentally wrong with you!!

RIP little fella. :(

PS: I do hope that if we happen to draw Sunderland in one of the cup comps at home, our lot give a rousing rendition of 'there's only one Bradley Lowery' a belated but fitting send off for the boy.

Because it has nothing to do with anything here, and as with most things surrounding the poor kid during his tragically short life amounted to nothing other than people jumping in on a grief bandwagon for some good PR or to show people how very caring and good they are without actually doing anything other than pointing out how much they care to anyone who will listen.

I don't want to kick this thread into a discussion (we all know how that will go) but i felt that i should at least offer some explanation of my rating. Terrible story, lovely kid, a lot of genuine emotion but also attracted a lot of empty hearted grief tourists, point scorers and PR parasites as well (see also, Charlie Gard).

Then anyone who did neg rep it shouldn't have bothered and just moved on. Simple!

That's top quality clickbait Thread Title action , good skills

Not at all @tototoner - I am far from being interested in generating threads solely as clickbait - check my record. It simply struck me with all the gnashing of teeth, bedwetting & histrionics going on in the Daily ITK discussion thread that a bit of perspective was needed.

And apologies if in wrong section :)

Poor title, but I agree with the actual post.

Bradley Lowery touched a lot of peoples hearts and I am proud to have Defoe as a former player, his actions showed true humanity which a lot of people are missing in this day and age.
