I get really worried when you take a side that is Top 3 and chop it up and decide to make wholesale changes. But, when you look at just how much legitimate "deadweight" we have, it makes you realize just how special the players contributing and Pochettino are.

I think we will see at least 6 ins. Toby will go with the clause being activated and there is no way Levy lets Eriksen go into the last year of his contract. Plus Vorm and Llorente contracts expire. So with Dembele gone that’s 5 in. I would love both RB’s to change as well, but can’t see that much change in one summer! Chilwell, Rabiot, Werner and Zaha on my wish list!

Levy might not have any choice. if Eriksen wants RM, and they don't put in an offer then Eriksen doesn't have to go anywhere he doesn't want to. Levy can't force him to join a club that matches his fee

Is there a price tag about for Luka jovic from Frankfurt

You'd be looking at at least 50. More likely 60-70, as Frankfurt doesn't want to sell. They will be picking up a 6-8 million Euro option to buy and have a long term contract in place with the player. Pretty much the same as the Ndombele situation last summer. And one would have to wonder whether the player wants to sit behind Kane.

Brilliant talent though. Have watched almost every Frankfurt game this season, and he has it all: skill, pace, power. But his best asset is his finishing. Right footed, but has scored more with his left this season. Deadly, deadly finisher. Give him space to shoot with either foot in and around the box and you're odds on to concede.

Reminds me of saying : 'The Whole is Greater than the Sum of its Parts '....Thats what we are under Poch.
But problem is our whole is not better than the likes of City or Liverpool (this season).
If we want to win the league then the parts must me of greater quality.

Big transfer window ahead of us in summer

I am resigned to the fact that Eriksen is leaving in the summer. Tbh, he is having his least effective season at Spurs this season. Not sure, if its just tiredness or he is not in right frame of mind. I hope its the former.

We really have to look at quality option to replace him in summer. Problem is, there is no 1 player who could match him like for like. In PL, Neves is my pick. Just 21, playing incredibly at no10 for Wolves. He will be expensive. I am sure there are other cheaper options. Personally, prefer Neves given he is established at 21 in PL and has huge upside to his game to come.

Love to see Rondón as our backup striker if he wished to come

Not sure he'd score enough when he's asked to step in. One of my friends is a big WBA fan and we had a chat about Rondon in the summer. He said he's okay, but very frustrating as he misses a hell of a lot of chances. He's got an excellent work rate, he's big and strong and basically gets 'stuck in'. All good qualities for teams battling to stay in the league, but simply not good enough for teams looking for those extra few goals a season that would see them claiming league titles, cups, etc.

I would prefer to see an AM who can finish and could switch to Striker when needed; someone like Zaha or Werner.

Think they would be more useful over the course of a season.

Poch seems to prefer a big lump as the backup though.

I hope the below are on our shortlist:-

RB - Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Max Aarons

CM - Tanguy Ndombele, Ruben Neves, Sander Berge, Abdoulaye Doucoure

CAM - David Brooks, Hakim Ziyech, James Maddison

ST/WF - Nicolas Pepe, Timo Werner, Wilf Zaha, Luka Jovic (more of a straight backup ST)

Unfortunately almost all are going to be courted by top clubs around Europe, so we'd need to play a blinder. 3/4 of the bolded would be an absolute dream and would really set us up. Just wish I had the confidence in us having the skill or funds to pull it off!

If Eriksen does leave to RM - I hope try to get Isco, Modric or Bale in return, if any are interested.

Too late for Modric now. He will be 34 in september.

I agree with all of this. I can completely understand from a WBA fan it could be immensely frustrating as they don’t have many goal scoring outlets, so for him to not be as clinical would be annoying for sure...

However, the thing I love most about Rondón (and Mitrovic for that matter), that I hate whenever we play them is how much of a fucking nuisance they are! Always on a centre back, causing problems, making them uneasy, forcing errors etc. If we had him in a lineup with Son and Alli, him being a nuisance could open so many scoring chances for them!

I think a lot turn their nose up at Rondón because he isn’t a flair like, sexy player, he is a complete bully who gets the job done.

I agree we probably need a WF or CAM who can deputise up top when needed, Werner, Zaha, or dare I dream, Thomas Müller, would all be ideal in this situation...however, as far as backup out and out forwards go, happy to fill in for Kane, we could do (and have done) much worse in the past than Rondón.

I don't think Rondon is good enough for us, either, but Zaha's also a frustrating player who doesn't contribute enough to the team. I question why Zaha prefers to play for a team like CP, with an unambitious manager like Roy Hodgson, than go to a team with more ambition. Is it a case of his preferring to be a big fish in a small pond? Look what happened at Man Utd.

Some are doing way to much.

We probably need 3 players.

CM, RB and FW ( although that’s not really needed that much )

Absolutely. As much as it would be great to strengthen every niggling weakness we have, we're not playing FIFA here.

CM is absolutely an issue and needs to be added to regardless IMO.

Other additions in this area and probably defence in general require/will be prompted by some outgoings - i.e. TA, a fullback, CE and VW.

Keeping TA and CE would be as good a piece(s) of business as anyone we sign in my honest opinion - even if it's just to hold onto them for another season.

Striker/WF also seems to be high on the agenda for the club - based on some rumours and ITK i think. This also makes a lot of sense and is a bit overdue.

Optimistically i hope we keep key players and bring in at least 3 new faces with some deadwood/surplus being moved on. Give or take losing a player/replacing them, i feel that would be the max we could achieve in the summer.

Be more realistic please.
Which English talents are willing to play as a second fiddle to our front 4, knowing can’t break into the first team for at least another 3 to 4 years, plus he’s affordable based on our limit budgets.
Rondón seems to be a good candidate.
Venezuelan won’t blame the sun will they?
