Kieran Trippier, or the ‘Bury Beckham’ as he has been christened on social media, has always had a taste for the big occasion, an ability to elevate his level when the pressure is highest.

Top player!

I am more than happy with letting go of Walker and giving Trippier more game-time.

Unfortunately the recruit from PSG hasn't been a huge success - but another season under his belt and he should mature - and KWP will definitely be knocking on the door this upcoming season!

The majority of SC Match & Ratings Thread regulars don't particularly rate him.

Therefore, he can't possibly be any good :hungry:

Well that's a simplistic look at it, the opposition was Tunisia. He has his weaknesses which can be exploited by top class opposition. In the right set up he is an asset but If he and Walker could be rolled into one we would have one hell of a right back.

So underrated and unappreciated by so many of our supporters, just because he doesn't have the speed of Kyle 'Forrest Gump' Walker.

We're lucky to have had either player.

Trippier has not been forced to defend, Trippier has not been forced to run back. Going forward is Trippier's strength and the formation benefits him....personally I wouldn't mind if we sold Trippier now his stock is high because KWP and Aurier are good enough options for Spurs going forward.

I would have agreed about a month ago but there's absolutely no way I can see us selling him now especially if he keeps his form up in the World Cup, would be utterley stupid IMO.

Errrrm, no it wouldnt. Would be smart business. We could get a huge chunk of money, not have to get a replacement and spend it on a quality player. Trippier’s price will never be higher. This is exactly the right time to sell. But i do not believe for a second we will. Poch loves him to a fault.
