Anybody got any info on this kid? He was on the bench for the Wigan game yesterday but didn't come on.

Anything would be much appreciated, maybe he's the next King

Versatile defender who overcame serious injury problems to make a strong finish to the 2006-07 campaign.

Troy made 18 appearances for the Under-18s and impressed in a right-back role towards the end of the season in making eight appearances for the reserves.

Newham-born central defender who performed well in four appearances for the Under-18s as a schoolboy in the FA Premier Academy League 2004-05. His performances at Under-16 level also earned a call to the FA Youth Cup squad in 2005.

Joined our Academy full-time ahead of season 2005-06 and made ten starts for the Under-18s in a campaign affected by injury. He was an unused substitute on two occasions for our Reserve side in their title-winning year.

Began the season as our eigth choice centreback (behind King, Dawson, Kaboul, Gardner, Rocha, Dervitte and Mills). Injury crisis? What injury crisis?

Saw him playing out out of position for the rezzies a couple of times last season. Big strong lad, but very comfortable on the ball. Think he used in play in midfiled for U18s sometimes.

Were you there yesterday? Why weren't you in the pub?

The funniest thing was he didn't know what to do. When we started chanting it, he looked over to Bent and Defoe and shrugged as if to say "what do I do?", it looked like they both said "wave?" - so he turned back and then gave a sheepish wave.

Pretty funny.

reserve watchers - will he cut the mustard?

I've seen him about half a dozen times now. He's done well at CB seeing as he started as a right back. Is he the new Ledley? No. I was amazed he was on the bench for us.

He's tall enough (unlike Charlie Lee) but will Flatters ever get the chance to sing his song at a first team game? I doubt it.

I was, but I was with my dad.

My dad thinks he's gonna be the new Ledley, purely because his first name's Troy. Sol, now Ledley, then Troy? I think he's onto something.

Probably cocaine.

We sang it yesterday. :shake:

Guess I should have been more specific - I meant when he was playing for the first team.

But well done on getting the chant in early. What will you sing if Takura Mtandari makes the subs bench?

At the risk of being a little critical, is 4-0 up with 10 mins to go not a good time to blood the youngster you sat on the bench? If that's not a good time when exactly is?

I say because if a centre back say got injured at 1-0, 2-0, I think it was more likely he would have bought on Tainio and put Chimmy in the centre rather than play TAH.

Just a thought ...

I was running late yesterday and arrived at Seven Sisters at 14:35 .

A black lady about my age looking a bit lost asked directions to the ground and I told her to follow me and we would try to get the train to White Hart Lane station .

Asked her whether she was supporting Spurs or Wigan and answered that her son was playing his first match and was called Troy Archibald !

Was willing Ramos to bring him on when once the result was assured .

when i read his name yesterday, i tried to get some info. about him and latter saw he is right back. so, that's for sure mean Ramos wasn't pleased with Stalteri performace and effect in UEFA cup against Hapoel.

for sure if one of CBs suffered an injury yesterday, Chimbonda for CB and he for RB.

so, remember this .. Stalteri will leave in Jan.

well we'll see - I thought Salty played well on Thursday and is a good squad member - all last summer so many people wanted/predicted him out - but for me he needed to stay and he did - so that was good :)

a new manager may see things differently - but let's see what happens - only if we get in a good solid RB and keep Chimbonda should we even then think of letting PS go - he's a good squad player for sure.
