From what I have been told he is a very good centre half, but he might be Anderton/King mark 2, even before his injury he could not quite hold a run of games together as he was always injured.

I went down to Crewe to watch the youth team and we were playing a central midfielder and a full back at centre half because of injurys.

My dad thinks he's gonna be the new Ledley.

I don't want to ruin your Dad's dream but isn't it a bit late in his life for him to be breaking into the Spurs first team?

At the risk of being a little critical, is 4-0 up with 10 mins to go not a good time to blood the youngster you sat on the bench? If that's not a good time when exactly is?

I say because if a centre back say got injured at 1-0, 2-0, I think it was more likely he would have bought on Tainio and put Chimmy in the centre rather than play TAH.

Just a thought ...

But if he'd bought him on then those in the crowd who support Defoe FC would have been outraged and would immediately have called for Ramos to be sacked.

I was running late yesterday and arrived at Seven Sisters at 14:35 .

A black lady about my age looking a bit lost asked directions to the ground and I told her to follow me and we would try to get the train to White Hart Lane station .

Asked her whether she was supporting Spurs or Wigan and answered that her son was playing his first match and was called Troy Archibald !

Was willing Ramos to bring him on when once the result was assured .

Cool.:hump:

Its not too late hes only 20, that is earlier then the average player to make their debuts

To clear this up I should point out that I was suggesting that Flatters' dad could never play for Spurs.

I know nothing about our man Troy and hope he makes it at Spurs. Central defenders should get longer to break into the team anyway.

Having said that I'd imagine that Dervitte is ahead of him in the pecking order and Mills is supposedly highly thought after aswell, not to mention the fact that Dawson and Kaboul are both quite young themselves. Troy will have to work hard to break into the first team.

I was, but I was with my dad.

My dad thinks he's gonna be the new Ledley, purely because his first name's Troy. Sol, now Ledley, then Troy? I think he's onto something.

Probably cocaine.

I think when flatters says he's he is talking about Troy not his dad

Can't believe no-one sang the golden oldie:

We'll take more care of you,...Archibald, Archibald.

One of my friends is an unbelievably talented journalist. (One of these guys that´s amazing at everything but chose journalism because he loves football).

He sometimes has media training days with Spurs and West Ham.

He asked me last night: "have you heard of Troy Archibald-Henville?"

I said yeah why and he told me that (even compared to footballers) this guy was the most unintelligent "space cadet" he has ever met. He spoke quite highly about our youth in general but he said he was just taken aback at just how nice but dim Troy was. (He certainly didn´t mean this in a nasty way he just knows that I love all things Spurs).

Also, I sit by where the subs warm up. We have a bit of banter - he seemed quite a good bloke to me. Hope he makes it.

Think Gazza was more insane than stupid. I´ve read his autobiography and it was heartbreaking.

But, I agree, on-pitch intelligence is the only thing that matters.
